Re: Axial rotation measurement anomaly *Update on pg 21 - Problem Solved*
Anyone know when he should have results based what it is
he's going to verify? Does orion have to show up first.
When does all we want to look at rise?.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28959013

No one knows how long... that is up to him.

He is interested in Polaris. So he has to wait until he can see that before he can do tests.

He would also want to compare his results with other known star locations.

Orian is not out of place if you go buy just eye sight. For that matter Polaris is not out of place going by eye sight either.
He is only talking about 6 arc-minutes difference from where Polaris seems to be.

Getting a tad uneasy. Wish he would post something. Anything. He knows we're all here waiting.

Unless the above is true, at this point he's verging on just plain rude. Some of us are getting a little worried about his safety. I've got enough real stuff to worry about, thankyouverymuch.

And this after I sang his praises yesterday.

Do you guys really think after this having been posted on Glp for over 24hrs that others just like Astro haven't picked up on this and others from astronomy clubs haven't picked up on this and are already looking at it for themselves. Give me a break.

This is out into the masses already guys. They would have to start to kill hundreds of thousands of Amaeter Astronmers all over the place. Fuck give it a rest already. Nothing is going to happen to Astro.

This might however cause a problem for him and the others on how to address this issue. Damned if its right and damned if its wrong. This is a make it or break it issue for Astro.

How is it make or brake?

He stated that he had an anomaly and he suspected that he miscalculated or something?

If he miscalculated then his hunch was correct.
If his calculations are correct then he stumbled onto something of big importance.

Actually, I agree with you 100%. I'm really not worried about his personal safety (though some may be). You're right, they can't kill hundreds of thousands of amateur astronomers.

But his silence is deafening. If he found it was an error he would have been back here in a flash to tell us, as sure as shit. I think a lot of us are watching to see just how this is going to be handled by GLP's official debunker - either way.

Here is a thought:

Astro had a few beers last night and decided to play a joke on everyone here. Just to see how many of the people here would freak.

He has taken quite a bit of abuse from many of the people here.

Just a thought.
