None of these seem overly royal to me. What I see is a young lady who has been burned by the dating scene so many times that she has created a set of ground rules that must be followed, or she's not going to go out.

But, as my buddy Bill told me, dating over the age of 35 is like trying to find a parking space at the mall during Christmas. Everything's taken, too far away, or handicapped.

You guys are going to have so so so much to answer for when you stand before the Almighty because of the abuse of women and their children for so long. War against women and children still rages - you guys will not win. Your flesh may seem to win in this lifetime but there will be hell to pay in the after life.

women who feel the need to use dating sites are doing just as much harm to themselves. you can't blame everything on the men.

I feel sad for these women. The one true gift we get in this world, if we are lucky, is to meet our true love. This is evident by the astronomical number of people looking for love on sites like these. Its like soft prostitution, the prices are softly whispered in the bios.

There are decent men (and women) in the world, but they too have been treated badly. hopefully the world gets to that place where we come full circle, where people realize what they gave up when they decided to go the way they did... there was a time when a man and a woman found each other and that was enough to last a lifetime. Today, not so much. Relationships have become disposable and you can get a replacement anytime online with a few quick clicks of the mouse.

the bottom line is once one evolves from the 'i need sex' to more of a 'i would like a spiritual connection with another human being and if we have great sex, that is a bonus', the entire experience of searching for that special someone to share your life with changes, it becomes crystal clear what is important. anyone can have sex. the real joy comes from having that special experience with that one person that you connect with on all levels. its hard to put that down on paper or put it on a dating profile since so much of what it is cannot even be described. you just know what you know when you encounter that person, its like being struck by lightening and still being alive to talk about it.

Men cheat, lie, fornicate, abuse and women had to take it because they were financially tied to these scum. Not no more! It was not good "back then". It was rotten horrible hell back then for women, trapped financially by wretched scum and the system that proped them up. To not recognize and acknowlege this fact puts one in the category of pig.

Piggish american men speculate going to some other country to get themselves a cheap, easy, subservient lay and cook - go ahead all of you - good ridance.

Leave the country to the good women in the nation and we will manage wonderfully and hope for some good hearted kind loving men who view the other sex as friends and human beings to replace the pigs.

Men will never be equal to women. Women have always been and will always be superior to men. But if the men wish to keep striving to be as perfect as us - well that is very sweet. We are not fooled.

well then I guess I would rather be a slave to my husband than to uncle sam or to a world that promotes disposable relationships, disease and promiscuity. I'd rather be pure in my heart to one man and roll the dice with him on being hurt, than being hurt by the world of deceitful people and practices.

I chose a man that I believed would be true to me and take care of me. If he chooses to cheat or lie, I suppose I cannot control that and that is something he will have to resolve. All I know is right now I am happy. Even if he cheated or lied, I am still better off with him than out there in the world.

Its all about how you choose to view the world around you. Potentially get hurt by one person on occasion, or get hurt time and time again by the disposable society we live in.


Truthfully at a certain age I feel that if you haven't settled down and found someone to love, you are just wasting your time. The world we live in now is much different than in years past. Relationships are way overrated, especially if you can't handle disappointment.

the sooner women learn that the man's place in society is first and that he is the leader, the happier women (and children) will be.

but hey, what do I know, I'm just a happy stay at home wife on her way to the gym and then off to a pedicure/manicure and lunch with the girls.

if you can land a man who is old fashioned like this, its a good life.

i used to think teeth had to be straight. At this point i prefer real teeth (amalgates ok, dentures and implants not disclosed upfront-gross). I changed my thinking to teeth with bilateral symmetry (crooked natural clean teeth are fine so long as the ones most visible arent buck teeth and have bilateral symmetry).

I say that cuz i saw a guy with messed up growing teeth but they were symmetrical and it was in such a way that in spite of his hating his teeth i thought they were icing on the cake. His front two teeth pointed inward toward his mouth slightly which you'd think would give him a mouse look but with his other teeth it just made him look dark and mysterious.

Sure she wants something old-fashioned. Seems to me most of the guys on this site go for old fashioned women unless it means the sex comes ten yrs from now. O.o then yall bitch and whine. sorry but watching the over 40 crowd try to date is hysterical... its the best entertainment these days on Facebook with all the over 40 divorced crowd seeking so desperately a friend for the end of the world... the levels people will sink to trying to get a date or some action. My gosh, it was so easy when I was younger and single, I had a good circle of male and female friends, and never spent a Friday or Saturday night at home, we went out in groups and we had FUN and sometimes, we dated. I don't think people know how to socialize anymore. Everything is all about what can you do for me, from both males and females. My single, divorced, over 40 friends on Facebook crack me up with their stories they all think they are cougars and going to land that gorgeous younger guy they fantasize about, lol.

oh and don't get me started, but Sex in the City TV show caused a lot of women to re-evaluate their relationships and become single. Now those women are 40 and 50's and are kicking themselves because they believe a TV show. Sucks to be alone for most of them, that's why the dating sites are jam packed with damaged, broken women who want mr. perfect, despite their own flaws and character defects.

Well this is stupid. The thread begins with men bitching over a women who simply wants a man to brush his teeth, be responsible, have character, earn a living, buy her dinner without any expectation of free sex. These men are whinny little pigs.

And then we have women defending this piggish abusive behavior, so lazy, so hardup for a man so they can be pigs themselves, they will tolerate cheating and lying. All these low iq pigs, with animal like urges deserve each other.

Yeah, sex in the city made a lot of old ladies think they could get a lot of young men in bed. I have 40 - 50 year old women hitting on me sometimes and I just don't want to.... sure, they're cute... but they're just too old for me.

I just want a nice quiet girl my own age. But they all want to go out and party.

Why would I stay with a man I love? Because I love him. I hope he never cheats or lies. I suspect maybe he has at one point during our time together, even if it was emotional, you can't stop emotions, but what can I do? I cannot control a person, I cannot make them love me. He claims to love me and that is good enough for me. How do I know he loves me? His actions. His willingness to treat me the way he does. His protectiveness and the security he provides. If I didn't have all of those things it would be a different story. Today its all good. No one knows what the future holds, so I choose not to worry about it. At this point, my life has been blessed beyond my wildest dreams, so its all good.

Just remember, if you love something, set it free, if it comes back, it was meant to be. Neither he, nor I is trapped. We freely love. And we love freely. He is free to do whatever he wants.

oh, and don't worry about me and having money, I'm covered. Not worried about that.

I don't doubt that this lady has some issues, but if I read that correctly it seems more that she has had a recent bad experience from that site itself

I know a guy from Austin, nice guy whose wife left him. He joined a few sites, including that one and met a few women....one of them he was always talking to until late hours of the morning

He finally got in his car and drove to see her in New Jersey (he's in Texas) and I think he assumed from their talks that sex was what they both wanted (he also wanted a relationship, but he thought they had developed a spark too)

Well she barely saw him after he drove all that way. They went out for a very standard first date, and then a night of drinks and she got deeply offended when he tried to seduce her

Now, as an outsider who hasn't dated n ages, I think a big problem with internet matchmaking is that people can't read the signals the way they can in person.

Body language, vocal cues, eyes...you don't see any of that...you see an airbrushed and cleaned up ad, and some people apparently pay hundreds of dollars to get pro photos for those sites, some even consult professionals to get their profiles written correctly

what you see is not what you get, lol

So, I think that lady is talking out loud to her LAST date, definitely heavy handed, definitely damaged...

but one could say as well....who isn't?

and by the way, I helped my buddy in Austin re-write his profile after that experience, and I noticed that even though he had been married 26 years, the longest relationship option they gave him was 10 years...lol

I guess almost no one is married for 20+ years anymore
