S.O.S: America

The 'Fiscal Cliff' "negotiations" (or lack thereof) should show EVERYONE exactly who cares about the majority of Americans. President Obama and the Democrats won't even meet with Republicans unless they agree to tax "the wealthy" more heavily, and the Republicans won't budge on wanting to keep their rate where it's at. Democrats care so much about taxing the wealthy higher, they're willing to let everyone take the grenade, while Republicans are caring so much about their party, that they won't allow a higher tax rate on the wealthy to prevent higher tax rates on EVERYONE.

Who's going to be left to pick up the pieces as a result? The ever dwindling (almost fictional) middle class. When we slip into a depression (we're already in a recession, by economic standards), they'll all blame one another when all they need do is look in the mirror. It's sad watching your country die. Abandon ship.
