Yeah, I blew my back at work in 2001 and had to have surgery.
workers comp for a year.

My advice, If it's really bad and you don't have insurance.
Tell your employer you need to go to the doctor, get it documented.

If you have insurance, go on your own dime and don't mention it as a work related injury. you will get better, faster treatment. and you will get to keep your job....

They gave me an email (yeah, an email) address to request information on starting a claim.

id assume we do, i work for a big company, however.. they are an Indian company.. (Cognizant)

Workers comp is mandatory for every company to have here.
If you are hurt on the job, it kicks in instantly and provides care as well as financial support if you are off the job.

I was talking to some stupid guy at work who was sawing a branch with a pole saw. He stopped sawing and had it just hanging there on the branch. It fell out onto my arm. I had to get some stitches but I was fine.

I used to bartend at Chilis and one night I was banging a waitress in dry storage and she came down on my Peter pretty hard and bent it. I seriously though I punctured her intestines and it made me almost pass out from pain. I couldn't have anymore sex that night. I told the manager and he said to bang the single moms since they were loose then he laughed. I couldn't believe how insensetive he was. Anyway I should have sued. What's this world coming to.
