Someone debunk this please. I want to be wrong.

Thread: Google admits 'Government surveillance is on the rise', report shows it has been asked to reveal more user data than ever, US gov't #1!

WHY would they be doing this if NOTHING is going to happen? Either they know something big, or they are just trying to calm the masses. They never did this with any other "end of the world" date, why this one?

I concur with your observations OP. Google is fully cooperative with the government and is at their mercy to even exist. From my own little world there a vast majority of people who are talking about it. Remember how crazy it was when the Y2K thing was coming up? There was no limitation on the amount of hysteria about that, but Dec 21st, 2012? You can hear the crickets in the absence of any news. This causes me more consternation than if it was being overly hyped! Two weeks and a day to go and I am at once petrified, anxious, and excited! I don't know, but it sure seems like the TPTB are doing their best to quell any curiosity, interest or emotional excitement about the date.

Thank you Starlight for confirming what I see. This just proves more to me that things are definitely not good. My question, who is hiding all of this or trying to? Someone has to be in charge of deleting and debunking all the craziness. Like that lame NASA letter just put out. Who are they kidding?

Look, it's probably because, as the date gets closer, people are realising more and more that it's all nonsense, so they don't bother. They are getting worried now, because they know that nothing significant will happen after all.

I do see what you mean, OP. A few websites are coming up that have a variety of info, but mostly just the nasa debunking article, other debunking pages, and outdated (from several months to years back) forum discussions. Nothing from GLP or any other conspiracy forum coming up in my search, and those usually come up at the top of search results.

I could say that they wish to quell any hysteria (the likelihood of preemptive suicides comes to mind), but since when have 'TPTB' been so altruistic? Plus, people who are knowledgeable on the subject don't need google to find more info on it. If anything the censoring of information and the official denials have me feeling a bit concerned, whereas before I wasn't so much.

At this point I'm ready for the date to pass, what will happen will happen (or won't), and the anticipation of this date will be done with. It was an eager anticipation for me until the past week or so.. Now I have to admit part of me is a bit nervous. Radical worldwide change is necessary, so a part of me is admittedly hopeful, but the reality of that necessity is grim. Of course, nothing may happen.. But well, we'll find out in a couple of weeks.

Yea, I don't see that at all. There would still be "some" people questioning and I too tried google....nothing recent, which is not normal. Heck, I still question and I know the world will not end on that date.

I agree! The censoring concerns me more than the actual date did. GLP always comes up on a google search, and today, nope. If they think it is all nonsense, why delete it all?

I do however get the whole "prevent mass panic/suicide" but they didn't do this for any other "end times" dates. Why so different? They know something<<< that is my gut feeling.

Still searching... They are going to an awful lot of trouble to hide something that is NOT going to happen eh?

Looking at this from "their" perspective. What are the obvious reasons to do such censoring? Here are a few of my thoughts:
>Limit the mass panic/anxiety over the prophecies?
>Prevent people from preparing for some unknown event?

I too, want this date to pass. Whatever happens we will deal with it and move forward from there. I sincerely hope it gets better.

Agreed. If I had a house full of people, and I knew they were all going to perish, or something bad was going to happen, I do not think I would tell them either. I get that. Let them be happy and peaceful until the end, but, the fact that they are doing it shows me they themselves are worried about something.

You are probably right that it is being done to alleviate the panic factor. I doubt they have truth in their debunking, but reason to debunk makes sense.

2 years ago I went to a planetarium with a group of third graders. When it was time for questions almost every other question coming from these kids mouths were "is the world going to end on Dec. 21,2012?"

What I learned from that was all of these children must have parents talking about this date. The kids my daughter goes to school with come from upper class families who keep everything from them, but not this. It was very interesting and a little disturbing.

Yes, mostly debunks. Many of the "sightings" of planetx/nibiru recent posts are gone. I am getting WAY less results on this search.

I think it helps to use a search engine other than one owned by the US G ov.

I did that. There are still way less results then before, but I did still get a few. Many of them are older (2008) also. Thanks!
