Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15751650 And yes, before you get snarky, I do realize it is winter. But I have lived in the same house for the past 30 years and every winter there are still some birds who stay all through the winter (blue jays, crows) We always fill up the bird feeder in the backyard and it usually empties in a day. My cat loves to sit in the window and watch the birds. Now there are only several small brown birds but the seeds just sit there and my cat is bored. It has never been like this. There are always larger, black birds. All through the winter. Now, they're gone. Anyone else notice this??? we have exactly the same problem. Lots of known to us blackbirds are missing. Same ones for the last few years haven't come back this year. We have literally 2 males and 3 females, we normally have 5 times this amount.... |

I have about thirty jays who live in the pines as well as other birds which I feed twice daily. Not a sign of them for the entire day but they were back the following day! This has happened twice so far, I don't know where they go but they do disappear fior a period of time. |
