They are being more irrelevant everyday and if they cave in on this, well they're finished. Most likely, a lot of people will never vote "R" no mattter what. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 16800654 12/06/2012 11:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | geithner is typical liberal - do as i say not as i do - the creepy bastard tried to write off his brat's summer camp as a day care expense. cheap troll bastard. his dad and obama's mom were at ford foundation which was ruined due to the way it handed out money to left wing radical groups. Indeed, Mr. Geithner’s father was head of the philanthropy’s Asia grant making for a period in the early 1980s and oversaw the work of Mr. Obama’s mother, who developed the organization’s microfinance programs in Indonesia. According to the foundation, they met at least once in Jakarta. No word on whether the two parents speculated on the future careers of their sons. There is also a solid link between the Islamic Banking Cooperative, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, The Ford Foundation, Devon Bank of Chicago and the Bank of Indonesia (Stanley A. Dunham was a research coordinator at this bank and a program officer for the Ford Foundation). Devon began selling Islamic home refinancing products for Muslims to Freddie Mac. |

The masses grow more blind every day. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4804472 Quite possible, and I agree completely that the system of two opposing parties in the U.S. is one of the great modern myths, but they coined the term and seeded the MSM liberally with it for a reason. If we take as a given that the big boys always telegraph their actions beforehand (something I tend to believe), we have to ask ourselves what this "fiscal cliff" bullshit is telling us. The math is showing clearly that we're very close to the start of the next big downleg in the USDX and the next major upleg in gold and silver prices, so maybe they'll use "going over the fiscal cliff" as a convenient political excuse for a mathematical inevitability. That would make a lot of sense, as it would supplant in the sheeple's minds the direct and incontrovertible effects of continued fiat currency printing with a faux political impasse, thus diverting their attention, again, from the truth of their situation. You gotta hand it to the bastards, if that's their plan. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 4428411 12/07/2012 01:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Honestly, Republicans are also going about things in the wrong way. Both Rs and Ds spent us into oblivion. Now, neither party can stomach facing up to the consequences and dealing with cuts and raised taxes. Why do we need such a bloated federal government? Imagine the billions of dollars that could be saved each year by trimming the fat? That is the blame that Democrats share in this. Republicans? They refuse to allow taxes to go up, even if it is temporary, because it offends their base. Honestly, the only way we are going to get out of this is by cutting spending by 80% along with raising taxes in the short term. Republicans would rather spill the blood of the middle class than allow a tax hike on the top 2%, shows where the real loyalty lies. Not that Democrats are any better, mind you, they spent us into this hole we are in. |
| SevenThunders User ID: 15851599 12/07/2012 01:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Actually Obama says he's not budging on the demand to give him dictatorial control over the debt limit. Last time I checked the constitution, congress has control of the purse. If the Republicans cave on that (and they probably will), we might as well crown Obama Emperor I of Omerica. I honestly believe Obama wants the fiscal cliff so that he can finally fulfill the Cloward and Pivens plan of bankrupting the welfare state to usher in the commie revolution. |
