My aunt was committed by social services and the police. The social services lady told them she was crazy, pretending she was sick etc. She was perfectly sane, the social services lady just wanted to get rid of her. Police searched her home, confiscated her heart medication. Trumped up charges of possession, etc. She tore so much asshole apart for it that she ended up sitting on something like $10 million in settlements. I am a son of Earth and starry sky. I am parched with thirst and am dying; but quickly grant me cold water from the Lake of Memory to drink. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 27809228 12/06/2012 04:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Completely illegal! They should be charged with robbery. Basically they invaded the home, tore the place to shreds and took things they wanted = Robbery. Quoting: Chip Yup. Not only should all five employees be sued individually both criminally by the state and civilly by the victims. But Walmart should be sued and if other situations like this have occured, a class-action lawsuit should be filed with Punitive damages as a major fine. Somewhere to the tune of $100 Million, so that others businesses don't get any ideas to start doing this, and Walmart will NEVER do it again. |

I've caught them twice now double or triple charging on small items. Example, yesterday my daughter picked out 7 DVDs from the 5 dollar bin, the idiot first tried to charge me 3 dollar fee for an extended warranty ( on a DVD?!?! Wtf?) the option popped up on his screen automatically, then he had to have a manager come over to remove the 3.00 charge. The the idiot charged me for 3 of one movie, I caught it. He removed one. He totaled the order and I paid then I said waitaminute! This seems high. Sure enough iwas charged twice for one. Since I already paid he said, oh, sorry, you'll have to go to customer service to get that fixed. Had to go to another line because of his INTENTIONAL mistake. Grocery stores were notorious for this shit back in the 70's it's coming back, don't let them rip you off!! |

Even cops have to have a warrant signed by a judge. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18432713 This is blatant breaking and entering and the person who authorized it could probably also be charged with conspiracy to commit larceny or grand larceny if the items stolen were over $500 value. I'd be lawyering up like a motherfucker if I was that family. If anyone actually read the article they would notice the Walmart people were with the police. I'm guessing the police got the warrant the the Walmart folks were there to identify their product. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27231023 The Walmart Employee's were WITH the Police and they had a valid Search Warrant that was backed by the Police! [link to www.change.org] So yes. Walmart Employees CAN enter your home and seize your personal property if they deem it to be stolen from a local Walmart! |

That doesn't sound correct, the Police could enter but not the Walmartians, that sounds way illegal. Why would a warrant allow for them to enter, they're a private company. Or did your Police and Judges just get bought by Walmartians? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25463516 Grocery stores were notorious for this shit back in the 70's it's coming back, don't let them rip you off!! Also, watch carefully if you pay with a debit card - the cashier can turn off the little screen the customer uses for the transaction and say it's broken and they have to swipe the card on their side - they swipe it as a credit card (most debit cards also work as credit cards) and respond yes when the "do you want cash back" screen comes up and punch in $20.00 and you never know until you check your receipt carefully and the cashiers usually only do this to the last 5-10 customers before they go off shift so by the time anyone notices and complains they are out the door with $200.00 cash in their pocket. WALMART IS NOTORIOUS FOR THIS ! |
