I'd be lawyering up like a motherfucker if I was that family. |

This is illegal by any standard. A companies loss prevention power ends at the door to the property. LOL now with this out, how many criminals will go around with pieces of paper, saying they are with walmart. "I'm here to confiscate anything of value in your house because walmart says i can." |

If you get caught stealing even a pack of gum from Walmart, they will come after you like a pitbull with their legal team based in FL. These "collections" lawyers work for several large companies. They will get their money, like it or not, and the price will keep going up if you don't pay fast. My daughter worked there, and said that the only way they can accuse you of stealing or stop you, is if they have their security guy (in plainclothes) standing right there watching you take the stuff. Otherwise, their policy is to just let the person go on out the door. No idea if this is totally true, but she said that people get away with a lot there. I guess that's why the penalties are so high for those who get caught in the store. |

My aunt was committed by social services and the police. The social services lady told them she was crazy, pretending she was sick etc. She was perfectly sane, the social services lady just wanted to get rid of her. Police searched her home, confiscated her heart medication. Trumped up charges of possession, etc. She tore so much asshole apart for it that she ended up sitting on something like $10 million in settlements. |
