I live in Sharpsburg...not 4 miles from this guys house. Don't know him personally, but I know a neighbor of his and the word is hes a squared away guy...Sharpsburg is a bum fuck no where town, tho people for the most part all have thier own reputation they stand by.
Through the grapevine I hear the story goes someting like this..His neighbors 3 pitpulls mauled his Labrador dog to death and beef started between the two...after a court order to get one put down, he was pushiong to have the other 2 put to sleep aswell...words were excanged and an uncertain threat was spoken involving a gun...so My guess is the one went home and cried a story to police about some crazy, armed prepper..and Bam- SWAT/F.B.I/Local forces raided his place...
They never did find him in the house, but he turned up in te morning and turned himself in...I "hear" the escape tunnels proved effective :p

LOOSE LIPS did him in. He showed everything to an undercover agent who got him to talk about how unhappy he was that Obama got re-elected. Buttered him up.

The good thing is that Mr. Terry Allen Porter, age 46, was smart enough to find a way to hide out during the raid. He turned himself in to the police at 9:30 a.m. sharp the next morning.

I too live very close to sharpsburg. This was very big news here last week. We knew he was a prepper because all those LE's didn't catch him, he went thru his tunnels. Awesome! A little paranoid but they just proved his point.
Anyways, he turned himself in yet no other news other than he was released. Not released on bond, just released.
Is there a name on him? I don't remember.
Maryland has a judicial case search dot cum if we have a name. Then we can see if he is barred from owning. Somehow I doubt it.

The fucked up thing is 10 miles away from Sharpsburg.. in Charlstown, WV they are building the new 500 BILLION dollar Homeland Security Agency- Training facility. I work construction and the company i work for bid some work over there, 500 acres and that kinda money...What the FUCK are they training for with the kinda budget. More raids and drones coming to a town near you.

One of these 'raids' like that will result in a lot of room-temperature flesh, I think, depending on what goes on with whom.

The one Prepper on the show just recently scared the shit out of me. He was a Mexican Chiropracter who said he had spent over 2 millions of dollars building his bug out. He said he had drilled a well down to the aquifer in Texas and he had intentionally contaminated 10% of his water and food storage. Some preppers could intentionally contaminate an entire aquifer for an entire city or large geographic area. That's scary man.

A previous arrest for drugs does not preclude you from owning guns. Only a felony conviction, a bond condition (especially for cases of domestic violence) and a peace order can do that.
