May not have anything to do in relation. This morning at my work a transformer blew and was really loud. Our store power went out and the adjacent stores power also. This is in VA, so it is far away from Texas but just throwing it out there.

The article states that they believe the cause of the pole fires are "dust buildup and a low lying fog". I understand the principles of how this could be causing a shorting out, resulting in fires. But, all this at one time. Come on!!!

I don't know who Mike Cain is but if this quote is accurate he might want to check his number cause he's talking out his ass lol. If power lines only carried 5 mega watts we'd all be lucky if we could run a lamp in our house.
