Just Got Off The Phone With My Mom...

I just got off the phone with my mom. She's definitely one of the "sheep", and always has been. If something doesn't have to do with celebrities, fashion,or TV, she probably doesn't care or know about it. She blocks out anything on the news that might be "unsettling" to her, and pretends like it's not real.

So, I told her about December 21, and what might possibly happen. I explained to her that I'd been preparing, and offerd to bring her some emergency supplies just in case. I guess the fact that its' so close got her attention. She asked me "When's the date again?"

She then said she had to go, but I know her. She actually hung up the phone to research it herself on the internet. She does this usually to try and prove me wrong on things. Then, she calls back in five minutes quoting a website that disagrees with me.

I can only imagine her face when she saw countless websites about everything I'm telling her. I mean, I learned everything GRADUALLY over the years. Now, it's far more publicized. I'm guessing she was overloaded with information that she'd never heard about before. Not only that, but she probably just realized there's a good chance I'm right.

That's probably the reason she hasn't called me back yet. She's starting to panic. I may have converted my "sheep" mother.
