The pattern in life is not living in harmony. That was only conceived when individuals formed groups and needed to have a cooperative system so that the group could survive. The basis of morals is a sociopolitical mandate.

The actual pattern in nature is that nature takes 100 shots in order to make one stick. So millions of salmon eggs are spawned and only a few survive to adult fish. The rest be dammed. Millions of sperm are hatched and only one becomes a human. Millions of humans are born and only a few have a good life.
