Believe prophecy, God prepares the world so trust Him.

December 2, 2012

message to Pelianito

2 Thessalonians 2:12 …that all who have not believed the truth but have approved wrongdoing may be condemned.

“My children, those whose hearts are unmoved after the illumination (Great Warning) will have sinned against the Holy Spirit. In calling the truth a lie, even with full knowledge of the truth—this is the unforgivable sin. Do not let up on your prayers! Many souls are in grave danger. It is only the prayers and sacrifices of the remnant, prayers made perfect in the Blood of Christ, that can work to their conversion. Children Pray! There is not much time left. I am near.”

My, my you are slow
! Are you insinuating that somebody who commits the unpardonable sin is "not Catholic" as opposed to the generic person who has left the RCC to join some other denomination? Is that your stance?

Riddle me, this oh, slow one...a Catholic guy is walking down the street in India...he sees that a Hindu couple have left their child unattended...the Catholic guy, before the Hindu parents can get back to the child, baptizes the child. Is the child now Catholic?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24011342

You can insult me, it's on you. You are the one not understanding. Quit justifying leaving the faith telling
everyone God doesn't care if you do OP. He does. Why give
the world the faith and it not matter what anyone believes, that's nonsense.

The message above is short, if you disbelieve when God
shows you the Truth during the "illumination" of conscience,
also known as the Great Warning, you have rejected God's love and mercy. Jesus states this is a grave sin.

The Father loves a prodigal son, be one, okay? Most all of us are....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20541213

You clearly do not understand. The Roman Catholic church has deluded your thoughts to the point where you are useless to God. You have no real love of God. You have a love for your church. Your love for your church exceeds your love for God. You are blind to the fact that following Jesus is the exact opposite of being Roman Catholic. You "think" that you follow Jesus by following the Roman church. You could not be farther from the truth.

Even the simplest of questions is overburdening to you! Remember what Jesus said..."I am the Way and the Truth and the Life" What do you express of truth? Answer: Nothing! You cannot or will not give a straight forward answer to the question: Can somebody leave the Roman Catholic church to the point where they are considered "not Catholic" and not just "a fallen away Catholic." You clearly believe the tentacles...tentacles like a kind of serpent... of the Roman Church cannot be broken by a human....unless, according to you they commit the unpardonable sin. If somebody leaves the RCC and becomes an atheist...to you they are "still Catholic." By calling them "still Catholic" you are saying they are still a part of the body of Christ...this could not be farther from the truth. But, you still do not understand what faith really is...I guess according to you that person who left the RCC to become an atheist would be called an "unbelieving believer." What else am I to think of your position? If only those who commit the unpardonable sin are "not Catholic," then you clearly have to have some classification of "unbelieving believers." The Bible says, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil"

If your position is: Only those who commit the unpardonable sin are "not Catholic," then please clearly state so here! If this is not your position, then, please explain how a former Catholic can be called "not Catholic."

I was raised in the Roman Catholic Church. I no longer believe most of its doctrine. How can I get present Roman Catholics to say that I am "not Catholic" and not a "fallen away Catholic." I will not ever return to being in the RCC. I would rather saw my own head off than be back in the RCC. Tell me if I am wrong - the RCC is not the mafia - right - once you are in the mafia, you can never leave...is that what the present Roman Catholics believe...you can never leave the RCC? I want to be considered "not Catholic" and not a "fallen away Catholic!"

The church doesn't save you, NO church, Jesus does. I used to be a Baptist, and left the Baptist church. What they say doesn't matter, it's what God says. Infact if you read Revelation, in these last days God is calling his true people OUT of these false systems of worship into the truth of the scriptures and MANY are heeding His call and coming out of these churches! The RCC is the antichrist power of the Bible. Every clue in the Bible points to them and it can be no other power. There are many of God's true people in that church (and many other fallen churches) who will hear His voice and come out! Be thankful you're one of them!

the moment i saw through the nonsense that is religion, was the moment all fear left my solar plexus and i feel so at peace / ecstasy i cannot describe it.

all of this fear had been instilled in me by religion, and it had been there since i was a young boy -- leaving me sad, depressed, angry, tired, delusional, low self-esteem for 30 years!

if i ever felt heaven, it was since rejecting religion. i'd never go back to that - ever. my new life is amazing.

Re: How can I go beyond "fallen away Catholic" to "not Catholic"?
figure out a way to get ex-comunicated
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9170468

Would the present Roman Catholics then call me "not Catholic?" I mean I fit most of their criterion for ex-commication:

1.) I do not believe in transubstantiation.
2.) I do not believe Mary was sinless.
3.) I do not believe in forgiveness of sins by a priest.
4.) I do not believe in such a thing as "mortal" sin as I do not believe I can loose my salvation.
5.) I reject the idea of Christians still trying to follow the 10 commandments.
6.) I do not believe in praying to saints.
7.) I do not believe in the existence of a place called purgatory.
8.) I do not believe in prayer for the dead.
9.) I reject the papacy and the concept that the pope is some how the replacement for Christ on earth.
10.) I reject the concept of indulgences.

I could continue, but, clearly I am NOT a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Please note: I am not asking for rebuttals or theological arguments on Roman Catholic Doctrine...simply put, I am not going back to the Roman Catholic Church. I am asking Catholics here: How do I get you to stop calling me a "fallen away Catholic" with the implication that I will someday go back. I will not ever again be a member of the Roman Catholic Church. I want to be called "not Catholic" - how do I get that moniker?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24011342

Re: How can I go beyond "fallen away Catholic" to "not Catholic"?
Have given this a lot of thought. Truth is, there are NO Catholics. Those in the fold are the ones who drove us away. As soon as we left, the fold was no longer complete. Catholicism does not exist. I could really go on about what "THEY" did. But you have heard it all.

My thought is, until they create a "TURNING CATHOLICS" program, of which, everyone is a part, the fold remains scattered. Scattered is better, for now. Soon though, I expect the Catholic "mainstream" to wake up. Some are already aware. It is a flowing stream. More than, we decide for God every day. It is a flowing stream of acclimating to EACH OTHER as well.

Most are "good with God". Some are also "good with themselves". Hardly anyone is "good with other children of God". Turning Catholics will learn to appreciate all the differences rather than continually try to lead to "hold the Fort". They will expire and only a remnant will be left to "turn." But eventually we will.

Nobody is, or ever will be, a returning Catholic, that would be impossible. Nobody is Catholic.

The meaning of Pope John the II's phrase, "Do not be afraid."
is understood as, "Do not be afraid, you are not Catholic."

Roman Catholicism isn't a religion, it is the true faith.
Gentle commentary though, I think you will say yes when the
Great Warning takes place.

Do you ever think about every Sunday, Protestant ministers,
ordained and self ordained, each one, preaches something
different in their sermons? How is that? My eternal life
is dependent on which ever one sounds good to me?

Jesus would never set up the means to eternal life this
way.

What about authority Ac, it is important.

Re: How can I go beyond "fallen away Catholic" to "not Catholic"?
Some suggestions:

1—Tell anyone who cares to listen that you are not a “fallen away” anything, but a graduate. You could say, “Formerly I was in grade school, where we were expected to believe anything we were told, without question, without thinking. I graduated from grade school, and now I am in high school. Here, truth is more important to me than blind belief. I am now a truth seeker.”

2--- Read the following quote to anyone who cares to listen:
“But we ought not to believe what Reason authoritatively denies, that at which the sense of right revolts, that which is absurd or self-contradictory, or at issue with experience or science, or that which degrades the character of the Deity, and would make Him revengeful, malignant, cruel, or unjust.” (Taken from the book Morals and Dogma, by Albert Pike) Then point out that the Catholic faith does all of the above.

For readers of this thread that are not Catholic...you have shown that you have no integrity or intellectual honesty. You call people to "come back" but, you have no idea what they would "come back" to. You yourself cannot explain what you believe. If you can't explain what you believe, then why should anybody here believe you?

The gates of hell are opened wide for anybody like you who will believe in the Roman church or any other church before they believe in Jesus. You wish to believe that you are following Jesus by following a church doctrine. He (Jesus) will answer you, "Away from me - I never knew you!" You are similar to the Pharisees of Jesus's day. He told them that they search the Law of Moses...but, they still would not believe in Jesus for salvation. You are that present day Pharisee - you search your catechism or you missalette for knowledge...but, you still do not know JESUS!!!

Religion = Mental Prison

Free yourself, from all of it.

There should be no intermediary between you and your thoughts about the afterlife & a higher power.

I see OP gets easily persuaded to accept the protestant argument. You haven't been Catholic for a long time? That tells me you really don't understand the full and historical understanding of how Catholism came about. It's ok, take the quick " your saved through Sola Scriptura" doctrine preached by Protestants. Oh, then that doctrine condems to hell anyone who has never read the bible....think of all the illiterate people in past history who couldn't read or even have access to a bible, most of Europe, Africa, Asia, etc...

I guess you will believe Benny Hinn no matter what. Don't worry, the easy and quick acceptance to believe will get you a long detention if you know what I mean!

Pick a condition from the 14 basic ones in the 7 letters and tell them you moved to a different church and then point out the the '1st church' falls away from God as He alone is the first love and then tell them the one that best fits you at the moment. Then if they are still pissed at you throw this chapter in their face because they stay in a Church that is full of 'leaven'. (they will take that as being worse that hell)

Then use Hebrews 12 to show that they are healed after all that and if it is still an issue you have trouble walking away and making a clean break. It's called a chip on the shoulder.

2 Peter 2: [9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly from temptation, but to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be tormented. [10] And especially them who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government, audacious, self willed, they fear not to bring in sects, blaspheming.

[11] Whereas angels who are greater in strength and power, bring not against themselves a railing judgment.

[12] But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption,

[13] Receiving the reward of their injustice, counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you:

[14] Having eyes full of adultery and of sin that ceaseth not: alluring unstable souls, having their heart exercised with covetousness, children of malediction: [15] Leaving the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam of Bosor, who loved the wages of iniquity,

[16] But had a check of his madness, the dumb beast used to the yoke, which speaking with man's voice, forbade the folly of the prophet. [17] These are fountains without water, and clouds tossed with whirlwinds, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved.

[18] For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error: [19] Promising them liberty, whereas they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom a man is overcome, of the same also he is the slave.

[20] For if, flying from the pollutions of the world, through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they be again entangled in them and overcome: their latter state is become unto them worse than the former.

[21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of justice, than after they have known it, to turn back from that holy commandment which was delivered to them. [22] For, that of the true proverb has happened to them: The dog is returned to his vomit: and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.

As the saying goes...

There is no such thing as a "recovered Catholic." The best you'll ever do is to be a "recovering Catholic."

I agree with that.
