I done some outdoor nature work in Nevada, and we call those flares used for training exercises. So they are doing a training, but for what?

White phosphorous is some nasty shit. The nations that use it claim it is not a chemical weapon because it does its damage through thermal energy. Those who oppose it say it does much of its damage either through direct chemical burns or the smoke.

Regardless of how it does it, it basically melts people alive.

Israel has used it recently, and unfortunately the United States used it as well in Fallujah. They're the only western nations that condone it's use as far as I know off the top of my head.

But it ain't on the "list" of nasties like nerve agents, mustard gas, and stuff like that. Like I said, the US uses it.
