Actually, Rome was a very diversity embracing nation until Constantine adopted Christianity as his religion, thus making it the one and only religion of Rome.

Prior to that there was pantheism, the many gods, and new gods from new expansions were adopted readily by the Roman people.

Further, bisexuality and homosexuality were part of the normative way of things until the adoption of Christianity. that means for 900 years the Romans had lots of gay sex and their nation prospered.

100 years after the adoption of Christianity as the official, only religion, Rome was gone.

The Roman Empire was always diverse. It wasn't a couple of thousand Romans who went around taking over all of Europe. They recruited lots of non-Romans to help. So if diversity is so bad, how did the Roman Empire get so big and last so long while it was embracing diversity?
