I am calling on anyone who can to help me in bringing relief to some of my friends and neighbors here in Mindanao. The situation in some parts of the island is dire to say the least and I still have friends that I have sent texts and calls to in Baganga that I have yet to hear back from. Baganga was at the point of landfall and Ariel views from that area show that the entire community has been devastated I am doing what I can and have access to a truck and driver that can take me and as many relief supplies, water, and food items to that region as I can gather. I can not fill this truck this alone! I have attached a photo to show why the situation is so serious as the local government has refused aid from international sources as it continues to evaluate the situation. The storm hit on Tuesday and it is now Friday. I hope to make the trip this weekend to get needed items to these people. They can not wait for the situation to be assessed by the government as the pictures speak for them selves. I can send relief immediately if I can get the funds to do so. So please, if you can send anything at all please do. If each of you read this can send just a little; together we can do a lot and I could fill the truck to capacity with rice, water, blankets, medicines, and tarps which are most needed at this time. Once again the needs are urgent and I hope to head out either tomorrow or Sunday. Donations can be made via paypal to mindanaoproject@live.com I can also receive money through Western Union and Moneygram. Just include my name Joseph Zanetti Jr, and city: Davao City. You will then need to send me an email with the access code to the address above. In addition I have also set up a donation page here [link to fundrazr.com (secure)] Thank you in advance and God bless |
