Would you be OK with stores decorating for a muslim festival?

Well I guess that would depend on if I were in their country or not. In a muslim country they are perfectly entitled to do as they wish without concern about my tolerance level. And when people are in a majority Christian country they can just mind their own business in the same way.

When I can open a shop over there and decorate it with traditional Christmas (Christian) decorations, then they can come here and do the same. How about that?

I'd be ok with it....if I lived in Saudi Arabia.

The places I have been that are ran by Muslims are already highly decorated in their culture and beliefs... If I was offended I would not enter their store.

I've seen Ramadan displays in Kroger. You might not recognise it. Its usually centered around good dates.

Look up what the "seven s-things" are that go on the table for Now Ruz (Spring New Year). Goldfish, coins and green herbs are some. Bet you might see a display this spring.

Because it would mean that the muslims have turned a religous event into a shopping spree just like Christmas.And we have enough of that shit.

Santa was developed in the 1820s based on the concept of St Nicholas and the Norse god Odin.
And I have yet to find a version of the Gospel where Santa visits Jesus in his crib with reindeer and elves.

Lets not even get into rabbits laying eggs near the time of NowRuz. --the Zorastrian New Year,a time of new beginings and rebirth.

Those of you who take religion too seriously should really spend a few hours researching how they are all related.

one of the best thing of living in a cosmopolitan city is the tolerance here in Mexico we all celebrate chinese new years and Hanukkah and End of Ramadan and some other festivities and in New York those and many other festivities from different cultures are holidays and you can park as in Sundays
