Drugs are a tool. And, like any other tool, they can be misused. Still on a road to recovery. I tried it 2 years ago and destroyed most of my highschool mates lives. In a short span of a year-two. First thing is admitting your addicted, and not being afraid of seeking help regardless of how hard you may fall at first. People can judge what they want, I found working fulltime helped but I chose to only tell my family. Horrible experience, not without a few lessons learnt. Ive learnt not to judge anyone, just offer help. To love we must feel hate, to appreciate something we must experience loss, to feel joy we must feel pain, to remember... we must forget. - James Kot |

I love the song behind this one. Good luck to the addicts, I'm too old to have been exposed to these drugs but I have a horrible nicotine addiction. |

No drug that alters your perception of reality is a "miracle." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1544701 FFS, METH IS NOT A HALLUCINOGENIC/DISSOCIATIVE DRUG! It's a straight-up stimulant, like coffeine or tobacco. Amphetamine, meth's A+ little brother, is THE stimulant that that all others are evaluated against. People who lose their minds on meth likely haven't slept in over 48hours and are completely running on adrenaline-autopilot survival mode (keep in mind, some people who take their legal/illegal substance uses to such a degree are usually a bit screwy even if sober). They just need to smoke some weed, chill, eat a case of donuts and sleep it off for a whole day. Taking a double-dose of cough medicine (active ingredient is usually DXM) would alter your perception of reality moreso than peaking on meth 1-2 hours after first dosing. It's not a hallucinogen? I had a friend who fucked with it back in the late 1990s for a few years. He would tell me stories about the "shadow people" that would chase him and sometimes catch up with him only to hold hands while circled around him and dancing. Destroy all that is evil, so what is good may flourish. Guns cause crime like flies cause garbage. KCCO |

Its actual kill ratio is pretty low on the illegal drug spectrum |

A friend of mine was hooked for several years, finally been clean now 3 years. He told me all the crazy stories, but generally he only saw things after being up for 3 or 4 days |

It's mainly the toxins in the impure street smack manufactured by amateurs that does this combined with other poor lifestyle choices. Pure pharmaceutical grade methamphetamine is a real weightloss drug and miracle stimulant. Of course they suppress the use of it and make it almost totally illegal except for the VERY rare instances that it is prescribed. If methamphetamine was decriminalized and sold at the discretion of a pharmacist it would do more help than harm. The substance being illegal and bullshit propaganda does nothing but amplify the destructive power of the substance. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25961986 I agree you can get meth as a prescription, lab clean, called Desoxyn like anything, if abused or taken of much lower quality, it will mess you up. |

It's made in this country by Americans out of chemicals. So the whole "legalizing it will put drug cartels out of business" argument doesn't work with meth. There is literally only one reason to legalize meth, and that is for personal freedom. The problem is that meth is so dangerous and damaging that it affects everyone around the person smoking it or cooking it. A house that someone cooked meth in will always make people sick after that. Therefore, giving someone the freedom to ruin their own life with meth might be fine, but not when it infringes on other's rights. If my neighbor smokes pot who cares. If my neighbor snorts cocaine that's his business. If my neighbor smokes meth then I care cause that affects me. The nutcases that think meth should be legal give libertarians a bad reputation. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1544701 wrong. Meth is the second most imported drug from mexico, besides marijuana (which isnt a drug imo) cocaine is third on the list meth is a big boon for the cartels |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25663058 Why is it always shadow people/shadow helicopters or some shadow shit?? What your friend was describing (or you're bullshitting about) would require like a week's worth of forced binging to get so psychotically strung-out, or he enjoyed deliberately taking too much PCP (which IS classified as a dissociative). The longest I've ever stayed awake for was around 4 days and even then the most perceptible visual distortion I experienced was not being able to really judge depth/distances of nearby objects (eyes obviously couldn't focus anymore at that point). |
