Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29242942 So, the spent fuel pools will be toast then. I think I read that in their current condition, they were not going to withstand anything larger than a magnitude 6. |

Are they next?? Quoting: Etta Those California quakes were right on the San Andreas Fault, the bad side, trust me on this....I'm a quake guy from Cali, and these locations are not good for Tehachapi and Mojave Desert area. I expect something in California, after this weeks swarms. Those were error quakes - registering from the Japan quakes. Hence - their removal from the USGS site. Im sure the error report will be listed here eventually: [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] |

Quoting: Simulation_Theorist 2 days. The 9.0 magnitude (MW) undersea megathrust earthquake occurred on 11 March 2011 The first major foreshock was a 7.2 MW event on 9 March, approximately 40 km (25 mi) from the epicenter of the 11 March earthquake, from wikipedia. I was watching a video on seismic research yesterday and the seismologist said there isnt one epicenter.. we can say it starts from this point but the waves move across the fault so the earthquake really hits the whole fault than a specific part of it [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Ostria |

Has anyone put any thought into this theory?... Since there is so much pressure on the California/Oregon plate...would TPTB use their technology to either preempt the San Andreas Fault by HAARP inducing the Japanese rim (which is already evacuated) OR waiting for more pressure and a better time to stage and induce a larger EQ in Cali? |
