1 Meter Tsunami 7.3 EQ Off Japanese Coast ; 53 After Schocks!

What was the time difference between the 7+ foreshock and the 9+ quake that occurred in last year in Japan?

So, the spent fuel pools will be toast then. I think I read that in their current condition, they were not going to withstand anything larger than a magnitude 6.

Been 20 plus years since I spoke Japanese, but I an pretty sure the left hand column is the readings felt in Chiba and the right hand side is for Ibaraki. On the legend above, it does say that the below are the three readings for the above two mentioned , but the middle one is missing, which says the measurments felt in Tokyo.

Those were error quakes - registering from the Japan quakes. Hence - their removal from the USGS site. Im sure the error report will be listed here eventually:

The 9.0 magnitude (MW) undersea megathrust earthquake occurred on 11 March 2011

The first major foreshock was a 7.2 MW event on 9 March, approximately 40 km (25 mi) from the epicenter of the 11 March earthquake,

I dont remember seen so many circles from an epicentre before.. anyone? i mean all in the exact epicentre.. not close, up or down.
I was watching a video on seismic research yesterday and the seismologist said there isnt one epicenter.. we can say it starts from this point but the waves move across the fault so the earthquake really hits the whole fault than a specific part of it

Real doom here,quaketards are drooling but I think all these recent quakes(Guatamala,Chile,Alaska,Japan etc) all point to a huge quake soon,maybe a 10!

I have a bad feeling for an even larger-scale earthquake...

No problem. Will be watching what happen and hoping that there won't be any further shakes. Either over there over here or over where the majority of these folk seem to be worried that the next big one will strike.

I find it strange that the rest of the planet has went silent while Japan does its thing.....just like last time.

I think this one will calm down..
but these last years we have an increasing pattern worldwide (both in magnitudes and in number), so it is alarming.

What about the reactors there.... how far is this from fukashima and how stable are the cores? Did the eq effect them again?!

Wonder how it will affect the coastal towns where the high tide now comes into town (due to subsidence after the last big one)?
