How long should I spend in these cities (on holiday)?
I only want to see the "good stuff".

Going on a trip next year, and will do a month or so before hitting South America, where I will spend a month or more. I am thinking 2-3 days in each city should be enough for a quick look. Any of these worth more time? Cairo I am guessing would take maybe 5-7 with the Pyramids.

Tokyo?

Seoul?

Hong Kong?

Shanghai?

New Delhi?

Dubai?

Istanbul?

Cairo?

Casablanca?

And then onto the USA and South America.

9teen Cairo, are you nuts. Save it for another time, right now Westerners are prime targets.

Shanghai, 2-3 days is enough, but honestly I don't understand why anyone coming to China would go to Shanghai, let alone only Shanghai. Hundreds of other far better, cheaper, less-hassled, and 'real' places/cities in China.

Shanghai is like any big city. Same with HK. Both cool places, but not representative of China. One day in Hong Kong, as hotels are 5-10 times what they are in the mainland, and you'll have a far richer, better experience in China overall.

Any suggestions of places that you can fly into?

Only really want a quick look in China/India so I can see if I want to go back.

depends where you're flying from, but there are scores of choices, especially if you are transitioning via HK. Guilin, Kunming, Harbin and Chongqing are a start: far more interesting than Shanghai (which is just a huge, flat megatropolis where you will be treated as a the stereotypical tourist and gouged where possible) and far more cheaper, plus much better natural scenery.
