Citibank and Barclays wield significant influence in Uganda, but have not spoken out against the bill. Sign Collin's Petition The speaker of the Ugandan parliament has promised she will pass the so-called "Kill the Gays" bill in the next two weeks -- she called it a "Christmas gift" for the Ugandan people. Citibank and Barclays together have hundreds of millions of dollars invested in Uganda and wield significant influence in the country, just as banking lobbyists wield influence with Congress in the US. First you get a law to marginalize one of group of people and later they are after another group, then another and so on. No one should ever support these type of laws, cause eventually, they will come after you. Ignorance is not bliss. |

I am not in any way supporting what you say; i feel that gay people should be just as free as anyone else, but honestly, what would prison do? Make them not gay? Do you even know what happens in prison? Besides, look at Jesus. Look at Ghandi. What did they do? They stood up for what they believed in. And yes, they died for it. But in doing so they became the idols, and the inspiration for generations of rebellion that eventually led to the acceptance of their ways. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29085908 I can't say that I'd want to. However, it's not for me to say that nobody else can, if that's what they choose to do. If you were completely objective in looking at sex, one would determine it to be gross no matter what sexual orientation. It is a disgusting sharing of smelly bodily fluids. The sexual parts are disgusting to look at as well. We are deeply programmed by nature to survive and procreate. Sometimes that wiring gets messed up and people of the same sex engage in homosexuality. It's not just people, it's animals as well. If it in nature, it's natural. |

In Africa, they are so superstitious that they believe killing an albino will give them good luck. They believe in so many things that would make your toes curl. They are not a well educated society and are barely able to feed themselves. Then the white evangelicals come along to teach their brand of hatred and myth to people already steeped and mired by superstition...... that they create new laws to kill people. I had met a few of them in my party years, me trying to pick up their gorgeous women friends. Their funny as fuck, I couldn't stop laughing, on some of the shit that came out of their mouths. I was also known as a fighter, along with my best friend, and had to protect some of these weird people. I never hung with them, as they weren't my kinda of crowd, but knew some. They are good harmless people, for the life they choose. to choose to come out in the open, knowing what is in store for them, when they do require some big cahoonas. To kill all gay people, is just sick, even more so than being gay itself. They are Humans first of all, and to die because of the way they choose to live, is a crime to humanity. What effects one, effects all. If you don't see it that way, then you will be left in the dark by yourself, when the rest of us people be united, to save us from the savages that wants to take our soul away. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1408355 It is no one else's business what sex other consenting people are having. I do object to it being forced on me though - with gay parades etc etc. Hetrosexuals would be demonised if we had a hetrosexual mardi Gras. I also don't go around bragging about my sexual preference every chance I get. Bro Gays increase the cost of our healthcare Gays are full of HIV/STDs/Herpes etc Don't think that they are like you and me Gays got lots of problems Like Anal prolapse - it's what happens to ALL gay men who engage in anal sex Anal prolapse surgery costs many tens of thousands of dollars and gays get subsidized operations for it By the way gays have a much higher chance of abusing kids Would you trust your CHILD to a gay person?? Another dumb statement. STD's effect more heterosexuals than gays by shear numbers alone. What does it cost for unwanted babies and abortions? Please make sense the next time you post. Gays have the smallest percentage of people that abuse others. btw Get a grip idiot. What church do you belong to? You are corrupted and are lying Gays have the highest % of sexual abusers of kids and the highest % of STDs and AIDS these are HARD FACTS THAT GAYS ARE PEDOPHILES AND DISEASED. You cannot argue statistics collected by respected scientific journals. It's well known that the number of serial killers that were GAY AND PEDOS was abnormally high. Gays are some of the most rotten people on EARTH |

Quoting: Kydofusa The following is an exact copy and paste of the email Uganda's speaker of parliament has promised to pass a "Kill the Gays" bill in the next two weeks. The bill would legalize the death penalty for LGBT people and people with HIV or AIDS. Uganda experts say that one way to stop this bill is to get pressure from banks that have significant resources invested in the country, such as Citibank and Barclays. Citibank and Barclays together have hundreds of millions of dollars invested in Uganda and wield significant influence in the country, just as banking lobbyists wield influence with Congress in the US. Citibank and Barclays speaking out against the "Kill the Gays" bill might be the best -- and only -- chance to stop it. Collin Burton is a Citibank customer who is also gay. Collin started a petition on Change.org asking Citibank and Barclays to speak out against the "Kill the Gays" bill. Click here to sign Collin's petition right now. Citibank and Barclays are both big supporters of LGBT rights for their own employees, yet they invest money with a government that is threatening to execute LGBT people. "I expect Citibank and Barclays to live up to the values of equality and fairness, not just list them on their websites," Collin says. If Citibank and Barclays speak out against the "Kill the Gays" bill, Ugandan legislators will see that they are risking the business relationships that keep their government afloat. Click here to sign Collin’s petition asking Citibank and Barclays to issue strong statements condemning Uganda’s "Kill the Gays" bill. The bill could come up for a vote any day, so swift action is essential. Thanks for being a change-maker, - Mark Anthony and the Change.org team I don't think they should be killed, however somethingist be done. The bill should ban all homosexuals from any rights normal people have. Any homos foind should be put in prison for life. WoW!! You are normal??????????????????????????? |
