Assad Stages Sarin in Damascus! Power Cut in Most of City! Assad is already using chemical weapons, Syrian opposition claims Quoting: DoorBert Sarin and mustard gas used tactically in battle, says defecting Syrian officer; last week’s internet blackout used as cover for transport of arms to Damascus, according to opposition The Local Coordination Committees, an opposition group active inside Syria, reported that on Thursday the military “threw toxic gases” in Daraya, southwest of Damascus, and attacked the towns of Mohasan and Buomar with phosphorus bombs. A senior opposition member told told A-Sharq Al-Awsat, a Saudi-owned daily with close ties to the Syrian opposition, that Assad cut internet and mobile communications to Syria last week in order to prepare and transport chemical weapons for use in Damascus, expecting a crucial battle with the Free Syrian Army in the capital. [link to www.timesofisrael.com] They've been claiming that for weeks. We'll see if anything comes of the reports. true, and talk of imminent intervention has a different definition than what I'm used to. In diplo talk it could be days or even weeks away still. The thing is, when the reports are only from the FSA it's fairly easy to ignore them. If western MSM (except maybe RT...) reports chemical weapons use then we know shit might be getting real... |

Syria Civil War Endgame: Rebels Tighten Screws on Assad Quoting: DoorBert Syrian rebels circle Damascus airport and army counterattacks in southern districts [link to www.ibtimes.co.uk] This is most likely a desperate breakout attempt. The Syrian army has been enveloped and is now trying to punch through. If I had to guess, the airport is about to fall into rebel hands and they Syrian army is making an attempt to relieve them. The fact that Syrian forces are not attacking from *outside* of Damascus is telling...they are unable to mount a relief force outside of the capital or even make a "demonstration in force" to peel rebels away. The Syrian army is toast folks. |

ROFL, it's like changing of the guard for the government propaganda workers in the posts above me Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29252637 And which government might that be !? We're not all from the same country... After reading through 4 pages of the same awkward goodmornings, it's obvious you should leave the hellos to the buttsex around the watercooler as you are all obviously working in the same government building on second thoughts, the people that do the coding for the NSA shill bots should turn down the niceness or "human emotion" setting a touch as no one on this forum is as chummy as your bots are being. |
