Green flash in the sky, followed by red trail? Houston, Tx
I was having a cigarette when I saw a green flash behind me, I turned around and saw a medium sized red streak in the sky that dissipated quickly.

What the fuck..

those are called meteors some refer to them as falling stars...the metal strontium burning up in the atmosphere.

No one has any idea what it could've been? It was bright, like a camera went off behind me. My girlfriend witnessed the flash so I know it was there.. I'm really nervous as to what it was.

Clear skies today, no storms or etc..

Thread: Weird green light Portugal sky just now

Saw one myself, but it popped out of nowhere in the night sky, and I was facing that particular zone of the sky.

It was a perfect rectangular shape - not a meteor. Freakish stuff.

It was not a meteor. I just looked at some green meteor footage. This thing happened behind me but it was such a bright green flash that it startled me and made me jump to look, and all I saw was a red trail.

Re: Green flash in the sky, followed by red trail? Houston, Tx
well if you saw a red trail it probably burned up right behind you.

but look what i found

As of December 1, 2012, the states of Texas, Florida, California, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Arizona are recently added to the UFO Alert 3 of the National UFO ALERT as the states with the highest number of UFO sighting reports for the month of November 2012 as filed by Mutual UFO Network.

The leading state with the highest UFO reports for the month is California with 53 cases, the lowest number since August of the same year. Following the Golden State is Florida with 37, Michigan with 37, Texas with 36, Pennsylvania with 30 and Arizona with 25.

Not a meter. Unless meteors are now rectangular and pop on/pop off in the sky...

This is what I saw. But I saw it cause I was looking at that part of the sky. Most probably OP was facing the opposite side.

We saw the same thing while waiting for the school bus. Waited also for a boom from lightning but nothing. I would describe the way it looked like a camera flash.

I saw something just like this a few years back.

I was on the freeway in Los Angeles headed north and same thing, commingling from west to east: I was gripping the wheel so tight ciz it looked like it was gonna crash land into houses but it never did.

Coast to coast had someone on who did see it crash. This person lived on the Colorado river which divides az/ca. Shortly after he says 3 black copters came and one hoisted it up and they were gone. He said it seemed like the copters were waiting for it cuz they got there quick.

It's so odd. Neither of those are what I saw. The trail left behind after the flash vanished within seconds and it was a very small trail. I it vanished so quickly that when I told my girlfriend to look, and by the time she looked up it had already vanished.
