Really, I don't think it matters and I think for all the chest beating going on, they have probably seen something or experienced something uncomfortable. I can understand that. Others that accept it easily are very secure people in their sexuality or know someone that is gay or a gay family member.

Actually there is such thing as being born gay. I am gay, and I was into girly things when i was little, about 8 or 9. I was never exposed to anything gay, never on T.V, never in person, and I started having feelings towards guys since i was like 12. And back then homosexuality wasnt even being shown on tv or anything. And i didnt even know what homosexuality was.

I'm thinking you got beat a great deal as a kid.

we are very close now, we used to be pretty splintered. it pretty much caused everything to explode, and until he talked about it in his late 20's nobody knew wtf was wrong with him, except we all sorta kinda sorta had some idea that it was exactly what it was but nobody dared to even consider it?

honestly its hard to deal with now especially because unfortunately he may or may not have.. continued the cycle, so to speak, and he is currently incarcerated for accusations of the same shit. he swears up and down that it never happened, and i think he would probably be straight w/ me if it did.. anyway it was an ugly mess and he took a plea bargain because he was afraid to face a jury w/ those kinds of accusations and face the possibility of life in prison, etc. the guy he lived with, whose non-custodial kids brought the charge, and his ex-wife both, were childhood victims of sexual abuse too.

people need to like talk more about this shit because it happens a lot. the more OK things are for everybody the more gray the gray area becomes. fuckin TV is hypersexualized.. everything is just fucked an crazy.

I'm pretty sure most of the violence I've heard about against LGBT folk have been in the name of Christ. And I'm pretty sure he isn't happy about it.

I'm absolutely certain that is what the majority of people go through. There a good many gay people that grew up with great families and no sexual abuse and no exposure to anything gay. I believe wholly that it is an innate desire.
