"She was initially thought to be a receptionist at the hospital but is now said to have beeen a nurse staffing the switchboard." [link to www.thesun.co.uk] Since I have no knowledge of UK health system, I can't comment on that part, but in the US, nurses will often answer the phone at the desk of their unit. It's not unusual for nurses to do relief duty at a receptionist's desk. It doesn't mean she was demoted; it's simply how 'holes' are filled when the receptionist is at lunch or on a break. |
