Great news for America. We will continue to improve and prosper.

Seasonal jobs. Some will become permanent but not most. When I worked retail when I was younger, I worked at Costco, Target, and yes Wal-Mart for a time. The typical routine is that you hire someone and bring them on for 89 days, then get rid of them before they qualify for any kind of benefit or real employment. The ones you plan on keeping you lay off because January-March are the worst months of retail. Then you call some of them back based on corporate projections from HQ.

I believe that the main problem you are going to see is the shift to part time employment as employers don't want to insure you. That why we can all pat each other on the back as unemployment goes down, but no one will actually have any improved standard of living. I see this happening with some people I know now. They can only find part time work. Because it pays less than their former jobs they are simultaneously drawing unemployment as supplemental pay. They are fucked when it runs out.

The future is bright. Everyone I know that wants to work is now working.

I have a job asshole. 86 million unemployed, smallest labor force since 1980, would have to add 180,000 jobs a month to keep up with population.

Actually it was 540,000 that came off the rolls thats why it went down not because of 145000 jobs. Also that will be revised down just like sept and oct were revised down 50000 today also. Wake up he is killing this country........

As we see in the data at the link below, 350-thousand people decided in November that they were no longer part of the workforce which, pardon me, has a male bovine excrement odor to it. WFT happened to 350-thousand workers?

What's more, when you drill down further into the data here, you see that the total number of people working in America actually DROPPED 122,000 workers. True, the number of workers receiving unemployment dropped by 229,000 but remember, just because they run out of benefits doesn't mean they left the workforce.


To be sure, the CES Birth/Death Model which has been used to "estimate jobs into existence" showed a drop of 29-thousand for the month.
