No way I'm going to believe that's a rock!! Do you see all the slab stones all over the place? All it would take is for one of them to fall over an eroded hill and expose one end and voila! I'd be much more interested in what is emitting or reflecting the light above the object just below the horizon. One Truth.... many realities |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16273761 IN a desert on earth, finding a sigle plank of wood is about as likely as finding any other piece of trash like a disgarded bottle. QUITE likely. There's bone dust in my throat and everything is DEAD but it's all right. Take it easy You bleed so .... easy |

Were just lucky he didnt use all his super powers or he could of knocked the planet out of its regular orbit! |

It does resemble a decaying railroad tie, too. I am also interested in the reflection further up in the picture. Last Edited by tandym on 12/07/2012 01:18 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16273761 give me one plausible explanation of how that thing could be a rock, and not wood!! Actually the object in the photo is consistent with sedimentary rock. Note the fine layering along the exposed edges. This can appear to be a wood grain, but is most likely layers of sediment. The reason I suggest this is that the surrounding geology is consistent with sedimentary deposit. Note the other fractured plates that litter the are. This merely appears to be one that has turned up on it's side through some natural process. |
