[ link to www.stuff.co.nz] North Island woken by earthquake Last updated 07:32 08/12/2012 Two quakes have rattled the North Island this morning. The first magnitude 5.8 quake struck 25 kilometres south east of Tokoroa at 7.16am, GeoNet reported. It was felt as far north as Auckland and widely throughout the central North Island and in Wellington. It was also felt in Marlborough, at the top of the South Island.
