What Was Your One Big Mistake In Life?

getting a bullshit nearly worthless business degree in college instead of trying harder for something like engineering. i wish someone would have explained to me just how much more an engineering degree is worth over the course of my life than business management degree.

Well, when my lunch special came I started eating and it was ok. The special was nothing special, lol. But I looked across the room and saw a guy eating some delicious looking sweet and sour pork with spring rolls. It was at that moment I realized I made a bad decision by ordering the special. Oh If I could just have that one hour lunch break back again I would do things differently....
Oh the regret....

Keeping the house and bills after a brief marriage at a young age. Trying to keep up bills made by two on one income and making minimum payments (barely) put me in debt for over 20 years. I barely had anything left to live on after bills.

My biggest mistake in life was saying yes to a dude to try out and see what we can get away with.

It made me really mess up my childhood in foster care and I'd probably be 10 times a better man if I would have thought/considered shit all those years ago.

I know I'm an Aries and react on instinct but maybe...just maybe I wouldn't have had to do that Army time I did...maybe gone to college and really succeeded in life.

Unfortunately I have had to learn the hard way that most people cannot be trusted. Telling the truth is a rarity these days. I've learned though, and that is the important thing so I don't make bad choices going forward.

Never made one that did not become a lesson learned.

Not pursuing an NSF grant that would have given me an intern position at Sandia Labs

My big mistake was not attending the prestigious college that accepted me to follow a guy. I went to a state university instead and never completed what I was capable of doing. Then I married him and divorced him 5 years later (no kids, thank god) having to shoulder nearly $20 grand of his debts so my credit wasn't ruined. I feel that the reason my life sucks now, is that I have no goal to strive for and that I wasted that one talent I was blessed with for some stupid guy. I want a do-over please!
