If my intial feelings tell me it aint right and i should do it, then i usually go with it. But again you take a risk as you do with anything. |

"Amethyst : 29 Nov 2012 3:20:44pm A well reasoned argument however, the vaccination 'objectors' are like the religious; nothing will sway their faith. They may claim the right to object to their children being vaccinated. They do not have the right to expose their infected children to healthy children and make them sick I thought that the whole idea of forced vaccines was that they protect you...apparently not. |

These parents are uninformed, overemphasise the minimal risks involved and conveniently downplay the horrific diseases these vaccines are designed to defeat. At its best it is a comparable form of parental abuse as circumcision." Wow. Just kind of speechless really, I guess these people speak for themselves. I'd like to see one of these diseases that was "defeated", please. We were meant to live for so much more, have we lost ourselves? |

There's a third variable at play - time. Maybe your kid just had allergy issues and they started showing up at the same time they started being vaccinated. There have been huge studies done on vaccination and the possible effects - if causing allergies was a possible effect, it would be known. It's unfortunate that your third child had a severe reaction. It happens sometimes. The stats are available. But here's the thing - even if immunisation caused all the ills it's accused of causing, even if it caused autism and allergies and asthma, it would still be better to have your child vaccinated. The rate of all of those ills is far, far less than the amount of deaths that would be caused by measles, whooping cough, chicken pox, and so on. |
