Why do so many people live there, anyway? It's one of the most dangerous geological zones in the world. If I lived there I would be seriously thinking about moving, yet many millions of people are jammed in there. With that population density it must be bumper-to-bumper people wherever you go, and living in constant danger from earthquakes. Yet there they stay. What's so great about Japan that anybody would want to live there?
