I am just curious about that? If we vist a state that its legal to smoke pot and then come back to our state where its not legal how would they hold me liable fot doing something thats legal?
You think job sites will be able to say rather you can smoke pot or not if it did become legal in all states?.

i am sure jobs can still require drug testing as per safety, for liability reasons or whatever, especially if the company receives any form of federal money to operate in any way

Yeah, I don't think they care which state you smoked the pot in. Alcohol is legal but that doesn't mean it's okay to get wasted while working. I think what you're asking has less to do with legality and is more companies just not wanting their employees running around faded all day.

Always refuse drug testing.

It is none of their business what you do in your free time.

Only by pushing this attitude can we end corporates ability to dictate what you do to your body when they are not paying you.

In states were Marijuana is legal a person can not be fired from employment when tested positive.

link?

I would assume, for example, that any company that gives its employees health insurance would be required to maintain previously existing drug testing policies... of course I would love to hear this is not the case!

if they receive any federal cash, and even if they dont, they are not gonna give a hoop de woop about another state's laws that the feds don't recognize. until there is a constitutional amendment allowing us all the free and unobstructed use of pot, your magic ticket for getting away with smoking pot is only valid in the state that has given it out, when you are in the state that has given it out. i wouldn't be surprised if employers in CO and WA still will drug test if their companies operating procedure calls for it, again, especially if they receive any federal money to operate or whatever.

it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out, if there is a crack down on possession in border areas or not? increased DEA activity at CO and WA airports?

this is not going to invalidate drug testing outside of the two states. or inside probably.
