Anybody here a PC gamer?

Yeah I'm playing Guild Wars 2 these days, though very casually compared to my hardcore gaming days of the teens and 20s. Before that I played TF2 a bit. I pretty much skipped this generation of consoles, sold my 360 after a year. I still liked the PS2 generation games the best, the quality of Japanese games seems to have been going down since then. E3 2013 will reveal the next generation systems so I might pick them up if I like what I see. PC gaming has been at a graphics wall for the past year or so...I can ride out this generation on a crossfire HD6870 setup easily.

Also, I am soooooo envious!!!!!! Congrats on the new computer! My psycho soon to be ex bought me a new laptop a few months ago and then came in and snatched it and ran one day while I was at the grocery store...Ugh...So, anyhow, no more WoW.

plenty of good pc games other than wow. Unless your are joking:). I love the coop stuff. And next year we get alines colonial marines coop and re 6 coop. Got to love the coop pc games. PC gaming is not dead, not even close guys

Steam and EA's Origin have most new games and some demos. For hardware, Newegg.com is great. Steam has great sales a lot too.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is now free to play and is great story

The PC gaming industry isn't dead it's just lost ALOT of its love in recent years. Most games nowadays sadly are designed for consoles and not pc's. Most big budget PC games now are crappy ports of their console brethern. Trimmed down settings, crappy controls, very bad bugs, etc. Very few are designed for PC's and ported to consoles. So the console kind of killed the PC market.

Don't get me wrong I am a PC gamer for life. I will always prefer PC gaming to anything a console can dish out. But I cant help but sit here and watch my beloved PC games go down the tube.

However, there is a solution as long as you are not a graphic nut . There are ALOT of good indie games you can get on steam at very reasonable prices as long as you have a credit card. I would recommend ALOT of these over crappy console games any day and they only cost you 10-30 bucks each.

And I don't know why people say you have to sink loads of money on a graphics card to play FC3. I have a GeForce 550TI that cost me around $150, and I'm able to play this on max settings smoothly.

Arma 2, and the DAYz mod.

And Aces High is a great MMO.

Because any game still going strong after almost ten years must be good. Still has a strong community with clans and sites and U-tube clips. It has an uncensored lobby which can get quite exciting at times. Kind of like GLP but with swords and shit. So if you don't like what is being said, field your army and cut the bastards head off.

You shouldn't. Most games are scaled to run on 6-7 year old console hardware. Unless you are going to run games at max settings on super high resolutions/multi monitors you shouldn't need to upgrade your card that often. My 4870 Radeon still handles new games well at decent settings. Though AMD considers it a dinosaur card now and quit supporting it with driver updates.

Everyone buys xbox and playstation and wii because more and more of the gamer crowd is mainstream sheeple instead of smart nerds that want to play call of duty or similar "dumb" games.

I'd be interested in non-shooter game recomendations. I have a bit of RSI and can't do a lot of frequent repetitive finger action.
