Anybody here a PC gamer?

Actually, I wanted to spend less time gaming and go casual. Hence the console. The games I play on PC are rather smart, I think. Walking Dead involves a lot of moral choices and problem solving, I've got the King's Quest series, and Portal and Portal 2.

The games I play on Xbox:

Fallout 3
Skyrim
MW3
Halo 4
grand theft auto 4

I miss WoW.

Borderlands 1 and 2

Shooter: Planetside 2 - great fun and free 1st person massively multiplayer warfare over multiple continents, though somewhat tough and frustrating to start out with - visuals and atmospherics are stunning.

MMO's: EverQuest 2 / Lord of the Rings Online - both can be played free to a certain extent. Ultima Online if you fancy something more old school.

Offline RPG's: Oblivion / Skyrim.

Racer's: Need for Speed World - sticking with the free theme a FREE MMO Racer.

If you're looking for something at a slower pace, you can't go far wrong with the likes of pretty much any version of Civilisation or Sim City, generally speaking the more recent versions the better.

And if you're bored of all that how about emulators, play all those old Atari games etc. A real good blast from the past, and there are plenty of fun gems out there.

I still think battlefield 2 is the best

I'm loyal...and boring...I fell in love with WoW and have no desire to try anything else. Different strokes, for different folks and all, but I can't even imagine something better than WoW. :-)

Been gaming 15 yr on PC

Battlefield 3 mostly ..Ranked 13 in the world with sks rifle :)

Arma2 is cool. Pretty complicated though.. Takes a long time to learn the control system. Takes a hefty PC to run it right also.

Asheron's Call took up 2 years of my life.

I was a big time gamer. Since last year I just can't focus on it.

When this 2012 thing is over, then I will get back into it.

Check out Steam. Always a good deal on there for games.

just finished Doom 3 BFG edition, consoles suck sold my xbox360.

The only console I have is an Nintendo, and I was a Tetris addict when I was in high school.

As far as games I play on PC, I'm a fan of the Elder Scrolls series, and Morrowind is still my favorite. I haven't had a chance to play Skyrim yet.

Anybody ever play Half Life 2 Deathmatch?

Back in 2004 when I had my last gaming PC, that game was the BOMB.. they didn't even port it to consoles or ever update it or release a new version.. to this day I dont know of a game where you can run while being chased, jump in the air, grab a toilet out of the wall, turn around in mid-air and brutally smash it in your enemies face and watch his body skid across the floor...


Is it just me or games in 2012 just don't feel 'next-gen'.. I played Diablo 3 and even though the GFX are nicer, the game still very much feels like something from the 90s in its gameplay and mechanisms.. maybe that was the intent but still.. Far Cry 3, absolutely amazing graphics/story but the game mechanisms still feel as dated as ever.. sometimes can't climb over rocks, can't even pick up objects or throw.. still bump/clip into things like there's no physics for that kinda stuff.. it just feels like FC1 with updated graphics, love the game but I expected a totally brand new next-gen experience.. I paid over 1k for my new PC.. I'm not shallow but I do love graphics, I'm an artist by profession so it's always gonna be appealing to me, you need great physics and gameplay to go along with them though..

One game I been bumping like crazy is 10-year old Sim City 4.. talk about a timeless classic, it doesn't even feel dated to me, plus the modding community is great..

Skyrim is a master-piece, the patch makes the game more stable, Morowind was posibly the best in the series.

although Oblivion is faster paced.

I loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Another RPG masterpiece is Knights of the old Republic.

While I enjoy Morrowind's soundtrack, I'll freely admit that I think Oblivion's soundtrack, music-wise is better overall. Anyway you want to look at it, Jeremy Soule is a genius.

I think Thief 2 the Metal age, is possibly the best game ever created.

Go and spend the extra and get the 387 coprocessor. Trust me it's worth it.

or buy a commodore 64.

It's just too bad the third in the series wasn't released to the PC.

They just want you to buy Xbox and play station. Download steam and shop from there. Many excellent choices. PC gaming will never die!
