You also make it seem like being Islam is UNamerican even though this is a country NOT based on Christianity but religious freedom, and the President has every right to his own belief system. Im against this man being in office also but you consider these things when you post something like this again.

This is a country based on religios FREEDOM. NOT Christianity. If a president chose to swear on a book other than the bible, well then thats his choice. Dont blame this on the Islamic culture. There actually is a precedent for a private swearing-in ceremony. (Not that I'm advocating it, just saying that it's happened before.)

President Calvin Coolidge was sworn into office by his father, in his own home in the middle of the night. It's in his autobiography. He did not lay his hand on the Bible to swear the oath, but there was one on the table.
