Not long at all. Liquid magnesium is taken by opiate addicts. 10mls in the morning will prevent any probs. a 50ml stat dose will fix an existing prob.. Good luck..

seeing as you've already tried laxatives without success, there could potentially be a more serious problem going on. theres a few different thins it could be, and it would =nt be helpfull to suggest them here.

but i wouldn't recommend taking any more laxatives till youve seen your doc & get a referral to see a gastroenterologist.

Try magnesium citrate or black strap molasses, non sulphur. Psyllium powder, aloe vera juice. All of these will help you take that massive poop, not only that, but it will make sure it is nice and soft, so you are not having to deal with tearing and a bloody tush!

I got really bad constipated once, it got so bad I was throwing up constantly. Ended up in the emergency room. Then I started eating right and taking probiotics every day. Hasn't happened since. You might want to try getting some oxy powder. That stuff will work wonders for constipation.

Cheap and easy fix. Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom salt). It is the exact same stuff used by doctors to prepare someone for a colonoscopy.

Take a tablespoon and mix it with about 20 ounces of lemonade or any type of flavored drink as it taste very bad just mixed with water. In about an hour, you should start getting back to normal.:)
