LOL, I know, my husband has one of those 'high paying jobs and has little time for this type of foolishness, he usually bans my computer use when I get too woo woo.

I am specifically referring to the space/sun stuff and just some of the theories are fascinating, I hate the political crap and racism here.

Well, seeing as that I am the resident bullshit artist, I'd have to say that the brilliance so often displayed at GLP is a reflection of a collective intellect that is curious about the hidden world that so many so often fail to see.

For example, imagine if Tesla, Einstein, Faraday, Ghandi, Churchill, and others had had a place like GLP to share, debate, argue, and laugh.

If our world leaders weren't such egomaniacs, they'd be here too. Yes, I vehemently disagree with the rabid animal rights activists, however, what better way to change the minds of people poisoned by the anthropomorphic bullshit of Disney and Pixar than comparing a squirrels death to that of a starving African baby?

my hubby is a deep thinker. he is also very book smart. school was easy for him, he has 2 graduate degrees. he is just one of those people that doesn't have to try too hard at work, he's gifted in some ways. and keeps conspiracies in check. everything in moderation.

Being member of this particular website allows people to develop critical thinking skills. The brain is like a muscle, if you stimulate with reading content such of this, debate ideas, test theories, you are training it to be smarter. Eventually you'll be smart enough to realise everything you read on this website is some level of bullshit, but by that time you won't care anyway.

No way, I was a mediocre student at best. I was a deep thinker / day dreamer then, and as I grew older I channelled it into reading alternative theories, but not so much into believing them, I like testing them and see if they stand up against my own belief system.

School doesn't make you smarter. Thinking, reaching out to people, debating and reconciling your own ideas, , makes you smarter.

Taking a step back for a second.....
Much of the the public school system (and govt funded univeristies / colleges) in this country are a DELIBERATE disaster that produces mostly drones who do not have the skills to see what is really going on. They are never taught reasoning skills or to look beyond what is being displayed to them. They cannot see the propaganda even when the truth is obvious.
Charter or private schools are generally the way to go.
There are a few exceptions here and there with good teachers and curriculum, but most of the public education system it is a vast wasteland that does not teach the proper skills....and it also is a large component of why the USA is falling so far behind in everything.
