Israelis are flocking to Peru and ruining it. Australia is more of a liberal shit hole than the US. Uraguay has corrupt banks headquartered in the US.
Costa Rica is nice. Lots of expats but its expensive if you live in a tourist area.
Currently I am looking at Playa Del Carmen near Belize. Minimal crime. It's basically an American colony without the stupid politics. And you can buy a plot of land with a structure 200 feet from the beach for $30k. Plus I can sail there from Florida in a couple of days when the lights go out here. Talking to a realtor right now actually.

Playa del Carmen is fantastic. I love it. Belize is a shithole, believe me. Don't know about buying a plot of land on the beach for 30K around here. Miles and miles outside of town, maybe. Popular hotspots tend to be expensive.
