During the 2003 Iraq invasion there are reports of Iraqis being shot up to 30 times and still crawling towards their AK-47s while high on Meth/Cocaine. Child soldiers in South America take wads of cocaine, cut their foreheads and wrap a bandanna containing cocaine in it to fight harder. |

[link to en.wikipedia.org] Methamphetamine and amphetamine were given to Allied bomber pilots during World War II to sustain them by fighting off fatigue and enhancing focus during long flights. The experiment failed because soldiers became agitated, could not channel their aggression and showed impaired judgment.[94] Rather, dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) became the drug of choice for American bomber pilots, being used on a voluntary basis by roughly half of the U.S. Air Force pilots during the Persian Gulf War, a practice which came under some media scrutiny in 2003 after a mistaken attack on Canadian troops.[106] |

In the latter photos hes always holing his arm or hand. He took it in the form of eye drops. I thought I saw on the history channel that his doctor may have been a double agent and intentionally giving him this to make his condition worse? |

It's a plague much like opium across much of Asia, mainly used to prevent workers from sleeping for several days on end. Lack of sleep ultimately leads to a severe crash or even psychosis. |

I was going to say I had thought I heard that some Vietnam vets claimed they were given something that in their minds was a supplement, but would make them fight all day and night for extended periods of time with no sleep whatsoever for as long as 3 days at a time? I don't doubt it's a horrible drug, but to be honest if I was in a war situation I can't say I wouldn't take it. |

With Meth you just lock them in a room for a couple of days. Give them some cigarettes or coffee, marijuana if your feeling sympathetic. |

Ritalin methylphenidate is a cocaine derivative. Adderall is 4 different amphetamines in a time release capsule. Both will fuck you over, I like rit's though (to sleepy to drive, actually have to study something) If you mix alcohol with both drugs you can create much stronger drugs in your liver that can be fatal. Drinking on stim's leads to violence damn near 100% of the time. ---------------------------------------- To say its watered down methamphetamine is such a misguided statement in a way, meth is poorly made in someones bathroom usually. Not the medical grade meth that is prescribed to the obese. The phosphorous from match heads is what rots you alive. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 51312830 Japan 12/09/2013 05:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Until recently, the standard greetings among North Koreans included, “Did you eat before coming? Are you sick at all?” But a new greeting has appeared in mainstream North Korean culture – and it’s not just limited to a sub-group. A North Korean exile who was living in North Korea until last year, says, “In North Korea, when people meet each other, they ask the question ‘Do you want to do a nose?’ as if it were a greeting.” It’s similar in meaning to the more common greeting, ‘Do you want to drink tea?’ – except that in the case of the new greeting, the reference is to methamphetamine. It has often been noted that the use of ‘ice’ or methamphetamine is common in North Korea. But perhaps it is less known that drug use is sufficiently extensive and open that it has become standardized as a greeting. Yet although the phenomenon is new enough that it has been ritualised into a greeting, it hasn’t yet lost its explicit meaning. The word ‘drugs’ carries strong negative connotations in many countries; but for North Korean citizens, it is considered an ordinary kind of food item, and not because it is part of ritual tradition. Refugees commonly claim that drugs are the only product ordinary North Koreans can rely on to ease the exhaustion of their harsh daily lives. It’s not just linguistic norms and common perception: drug use in North Korea is an entirely unremarkable aspect of everyday life. Cho, a North Korean refugee, explains “When meeting people, we not infrequently swapped drugs to compare whose ice was more potent. We didn’t have the serious attitudes that South Koreans seem to have, we just did it naturally as if we were exchanging cigarettes. Among young women, it’s also common to sell their bodies for cash to buy drugs. And women still do drugs while pregnant. More: [link to newfocusintl.com] |

Its cheaper than food when you have a starving nation...turns starving people into zombies that can work and go on. It's not a substitute for food and never will be. It'll keep you running while you consume yourself. |

An astonishing amount of drugs are produced there and shipped worldwide as part of a hidden trade network. How could 1/2 the population of one of the poorest nations in the world get their hands on meth everyday if this wasn't true? The Kims didn't build concentration camps, they built drug labs. All the executions and punishment we hear about is from people stealing drugs from the lab. Think it over. It makes sense. |
