| Anonymous Coward User ID: 21495402 12/07/2012 08:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sad. Of course it is the cops fault and not the thief's... Bad judgement all around. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28854292 WalMart lawsuit incoming. Why exactly is it the cops fault the lady hit him with her purse, then proceeded to run away to a vehicle, get in the vehicle and attempt to drive away AFTER the cop TOLD her to get out of the car. Not to mention the cop must have felt threatened to have pulled his gun out in the first place, although im sure the fact the lady hit him with her purse didnt help. Even though it was a purse, you NEVER hit a cop, regardless if they are on duty or off duty or if it was a purse or her fist. Did I mention that she tried to DRIVE AWAY with the door open and the cop standing there. Obviously she wasn't going to stop, the cop felt threatened and pulled the trigger. I probably would have done the same thing. It is also possible that the cop didn't pull the trigger and it was a misfire. Its really sad that a person would risk jail time and there life just to get away with $20-$50 in merchandise. It's also really sad that a person would do this with 2 CHILDREN in the car at the same time. They say the cop shouldnt have fired into a car with kids, why the fuck did she bring her kids to the store if she intended to rob them. That's good ol american parenting for ya. So I ask again how is it the cops fault? He was just doing his job and protecting the public from scumbags like this "lady", even if he was off-duty. Good riddance she's off the streets, or something worse may have happened. |
