Not a [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] Please select AHEAD HI2, 2048x2048, slideshow and (dates): 20121110 20121207 and search; then zoom to 200% and push four times on faster. It looks like a star of Christmas of an ancient catechism’s book! It is probably a kind of artifact, but it is amazing! But what if it were a real celestial (unknown) object!? If the Earth is slightly out of the spectrum of AHEAD HI2, at left, like it is for AHEAD HI1 (causing from time to time a lens flare), this (virtual) object would be near us in the following days. Fortunately it is descending under the ecliptic plane and won’t in any case collide with us. But it still could arrive just in time for the end of the Mayan calendar and would be sufficiently voluminous and near to affect Earth seriously. Happy Chistmas! LOL!
