I just would like to move to a small secluded area in Canada and work a normal blue collar job and live among nature. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29150324 I am from the US and have no family in Canada nor know anybody from there. 29150324, do a fly-in fishing trip to central BC and plan to stay there for a long time. Bring some heirloom seeds and you will be fine. ![]() |

Getting into Canada illegally........well.....or claiming refugee status......happens way too much. Many have now been rounded up & either have been or are about to be deported. They are tightening up the loopholes, finally. |

| Hahahaha User ID: 28872856 12/07/2012 10:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have never been there but contemplated visiting with the intention of perhaps moving there. He has everything -- gorgeous farm, tons of horses, organic garden. But it didn't work out. You can move there; they will let you in. My suggestion is that you start making new "friends" before you get there. Then you can go visit your "friends" to see how you like it. It also helps if you have a skill or trade. Employment shouldn't be a problem; they have tons of jobs there, or at least they did a couple of years ago. Also, you get more bang for your buck dollar-wise. It is gorgeous country, pristine and clean in many parts. But their laws are different. Research the provinces because they are unique. E.g., Alberta has a health care system similar to ours -- you purchase private insurance for coverage. Other provinces have "socialized medicine." Again, do the research before you decide. :) |

A couple provincial parks. Forest for miles and miles. Oil field keeps the economy up, we don't even know WTF hard times are. Best place in the world for now. Oh and Rednecks JUST LIKE HOME! Oh no. The horror. You won't move. You don't have the balls to. |

Leave the house with the door unlocked. etc etc. You CAN get handguns/rifles/shotguns if you want. I swear Alberta is like a country of its own. Our women are bitchy though.
