any belief system that sends them to hell while their rapists are forgiven and go to heaven should be cleansed from the face of the earth.

Certainly not worth the risk to find out. quit being a wimp and deal with the doom.

Why are you asking others about something so personal? Don't you have your own beliefs?

My belief is that my Creator is NOT written about in any "holy" books of the man-made, mainstream, profitable religions. There is no such thing as "hell," it was manufactured by MEN to help them control other men.

Suicide is an option; it sure beats suffering. If animals deserve to be put down to avoid their suffering, why don't we deserve the same merciful, humane treatment?

You feel guilty because you know that suicide is a bitch move, but you don't allow yourself to consciously realize the implications of the act.

As a result, you project this guilt outside yourself and it manifests as fear of judgement and punishment from the archetypal external authority figure.

You are a part of God temporarily experiencing life as a human individual. In death, you would immediately judge yourself and your actions. Your formerly repressed guilt would surface, forcing you to confront the implications of your actions, but now in a state wherein no corrective action is possible, only contemplation and reflection. This is the state of being that most people imagine as "hell".

Probably not nowadays. There are so many bodies now that you will be pulled from the pool and be reborn pretty quick. Whether you want to be a baby when TSHTF happens, its up to you.

The author, in his/her own words, is describing her FEARS, not an ACTUAL experience of hell. In posting this, you have only shown your own confusion of the two. Perhaps another indication that they are in fact the same state of mind.

Prior to people going to hell, in their NDEs, they will often first encounter demons, that will take them there.

Is this only a mere fear, created by the subconscious, or an actual experience?

By this one case, one can't be certain, however, I can present much more, to show and give evidence that this is indeed real, and not merely a mental construct based on subconscious fears.

Hell doesn't exist unless you believe it does.

There is no place in the Bible were it says you will go to hell.

But it does say in the Bible that if you give your life to Jesus and ask for forgiveness you will be forgiven. Once you turn to go ALL SINS ARE FORGIVEN BEFORE AND AFTER.

So if you kill yourself you will not go to hell.

Yes, suicide "is" a bitch move and is selfish and hurts the loved ones that live on. I don't condone suicide one bit.

A part of me thinks that God does forgive us for that act but then it seems so wrong because life was given to us by God and only He has the power to say when we do or don't die.
However, believing that God does have complete control, that makes me think that maybe that is why some attempted suicides fail....He only allows it to happen if it is meant to be maybe?!

To the one person that asked why I'm asking such a personal question...
I think this question is on alot of minds during this time.
Sometimes just talking about your fears with others can help bring about peace.

Hell is Fresno

I've often wondered if here on earth is actually "hell".

I've thought that too. Many times.

This is from my book...and all true.
I had a big brother, his name was Joe. He was a lot older than I was. But he took me fishing and we had some good times together. Then I got older and saw that he was not as great as I thought he should have been. He made some mistakes, and I turned away from him. We had not spoken in years.

A sad situation came up for him and he lost a daughter in a SIDS death. I was not close, and I only discovered this fact later

Several days later, I was in my bed, in my bedroom, asleep. The light came on, the door swung open, and there was Joe. As we were not friends at this point, I was irate at him for coming into my home. I confronted him with anger. He just stood there, nodding and telling me he was sorry to come in here like this. He asked how I was, I had been ill, and so I softened up a bit and told him I was a lot better. My husband got up to go to the bathroom and Joe stepped aside to let him pass. He said he was sorry for being so mean to me in the past. He said he missed fishing with me because I was the best of the kids at fishing.

He made me feel good. I said that we needed to get up to the mill pond and spend a few hours together. He smiled so happily at me. He said, as he pointed his finger at me to punctuate the statement. “We will go fishing…I promise you that!”
He told me he loved me. I told him I loved him. He asked me to forgive him and I said of course. I said to him that I was sorry for all the arguments and judgments I had made. I asked him what would be a good day to go fishing, and he laughed and said,

“I hope it won’t be for a long time, you have these kids to take care of.” He pointed at me again and smiled. That puzzled me a little. He said, “Don’t worry about it. I will be seeing you before you know it. I know some good spots that are loaded with trout.” Then he told me to get back to sleep. He shut the door on the way out.

I was getting up to go to the bathroom and George, my husband was returning from the kitchen where he went to get a drink. I asked him if Joe got out all right and he said that he did not pass him. We walked into the living room and the door was still locked. I did say a few unkind words about his not locking the door that night. George was very clear that he most certainly did lock the doors. We went back to bed.

I got up at six in the morning. I went to work at the local hospital where I had a job in the lab. I was a tissue technician. Part of my job area was the morgue. When I got to work there was the paperwork on a body scheduled for autopsy. The body had been brought in at about eleven the night before. It was my brother Joe.

Joe had attended the funeral of his daughter. He stayed behind after the rest of the family left. He lay on the grass where they buried her for several hours. He was alone. Grounds-men sort of kept an eye on him. Later, as he lay there, he shot himself in the head.

My brother was in my house at three-thirty in the morning, several hours after he had been found dead at his daughter’s grave. I was beside myself, of course. I did not even know there had been a funeral. But I must make the point here that I do not go to any funerals at all. Case closed no funerals. Not even my parents.’


My brother Joe was a suicide. He was not sent to hell. He was not tortured when he came to see me. He did not even mention his little girl. He spoke of going fishing. He was making plans. He promised me a trip. He told me he loved me. He was happy that I loved him.

He was in an agony of the soul, tortured by sorrow, when he pulled that trigger. He found relief from his pain, and obviously forgiveness for his self-murder. The man who came to me was a happy man, one looking forward…not back.

I believe with all my heart that we shall see each other again, and we shall go fishing. He was in a position to know, and he told me we would go fishing. If the next phase of existence has a fishing hole, it has a kitchen, a dance hall, and a bowling alley.

You can cast away your fear of death, and what comes after. Please believe there is plenty of living after dying. We are eternal souls, and we must stay busy. We shall enjoy life after life after death. We shall share our thoughts and concerns in a community of others wanting to share, and laugh and cry. It is not the same as this life of flesh, but it is the way of our souls.

I'm just thinking about the "what if" worse case scenarios of an apocalypse.
I haven't been able to find anywhere in the Bible that say's suicide is a sin either.

OP, I am a born again christian.

If I was hit by something like chemical weapon, or something excruciatingly painful and fatal i'd wax myself.

Jesus our lord and God understand... man.. It's not all cut in stone... your intentions must be pure.

I feel like I'm sitting in the dark theater after the movie is finished and everyone has left. Just sitting there alone, waiting...for what? I don't know. But everyone else is gone and its just me. Is there another show? Should I get up and leave? Just thoughts I have on the meaning of life at nearly 40 with no family/friends. I'm too much of a chicken to actually do anything, but wonder what lesson I'm supposed to be learning that I'm not.

I have heard since you chose to come down here for this life, and you bugged out before the lesson was learned, you must immediately come back down and try again, until the lesson is completed.

But if you knew you were going to die anyway, its the same outcome, so of course not, in that situation.

But why dont you go INSIDE your heart and ask. You have an entire entourage of spiritual guides, angels, etc who have been with you before you came down here. Not to mention your Father Fragment.

Well, seeing as god/jesus committed suicide (assisted suicide at the very least), then no. If he doesn't 'forgive' suicide then don't worry...he's waiting in hell for you.
Of course one would have to believe in the existence of hell, heaven, god, jesus and the devil in the frst place. :-)

Some years ago I went through a rough time and the thought of suicide crossed my mind but the thought of my kids reaction to losing me that way snapped me out of that thought real quick.

If I think of a scenario where my family is already gone and I am alone with nobody to hurt with my dying and if I was suffering and there was no hope, then I believe that God would not want me to suffer....unless there was a lesson to be learned. But how do we know?!

I suppose what is meant to be happens and if God didn't want us to die then he would make it a failed attempt maybe.

It's all so very confusing :/
