Is suicide an instant ticket to hell??

God gives you life.

If you throw away life, you are rejecting the sovereignty of God.

If you reject God, what do you reasonably expect?

Well, seeing as god/jesus committed suicide (assisted suicide at the very least), then no. If he doesn't 'forgive' suicide then don't worry...he's waiting in hell for you.
Of course one would have to believe in the existence of hell, heaven, god, jesus and the devil in the frst place. :-)

Several days later, I was in my bed, in my bedroom, asleep. The light came on, the door swung open, and there was Joe. As we were not friends at this point, I was irate at him for coming into my home. I confronted him with anger. He just stood there, nodding and telling me he was sorry to come in here like this. He asked how I was, I had been ill, and so I softened up a bit and told him I was a lot better. My husband got up to go to the bathroom and Joe stepped aside to let him pass. He said he was sorry for being so mean to me in the past. He said he missed fishing with me because I was the best of the kids at fishing. He made me feel good. I said that we needed to get up to the mill pond and spend a few hours together. He smiled so happily at me. He said, as he pointed his finger at me to punctuate the statement. “We will go fishing…I promise you that!”
He told me he loved me. I told him I loved him. He asked me to forgive him and I said of course. I said to him that I was sorry for all the arguments and judgments I had made. I asked him what would be a good day to go fishing, and he laughed and said,
“I hope it won’t be for a long time, you have these kids to take care of.” He pointed at me again and smiled. That puzzled me a little. He said, “Don’t worry about it. I will be seeing you before you know it. I know some good spots that are loaded with trout.” Then he told me to get back to sleep. He shut the door on the way out. I was getting up to go to the bathroom and George, my husband was returning from the kitchen where he went to get a drink. I asked him if Joe got out all right and he said that he did not pass him. We walked into the living room and the door was still locked. I did say a few unkind words about his not locking the door that night. George was very clear that he most certainly did lock the doors. We went back to bed.
I got up at six in the morning. I went to work at the local hospital where I had a job in the lab. I was a tissue technician. Part of my job area was the morgue. When I got to work there was the paperwork on a body scheduled for autopsy. The body had been brought in at about eleven the night before. It was my brother Joe.
Joe had attended the funeral of his daughter. He stayed behind after the rest of the family left. He lay on the grass where they buried her for several hours. He was alone. Grounds-men sort of kept an eye on him. Later, as he lay there, he shot himself in the head.
My brother was in my house at three-thirty in the morning, several hours after he had been found dead at his daughter’s grave. I was beside myself, of course. I did not even know there had been a funeral. But I must make the point here that I do not go to any funerals at all. Case closed no funerals. Not even my parents.’
My brother Joe was a suicide. He was not sent to hell. He was not tortured when he came to see me. He did not even mention his little girl. He spoke of going fishing. He was making plans. He promised me a trip. He told me he loved me. He was happy that I loved him.
He was in an agony of the soul, tortured by sorrow, when he pulled that trigger. He found relief from his pain, and obviously forgiveness for his self-murder. The man who came to me was a happy man, one looking forward…not back.
I believe with all my heart that we shall see each other again, and we shall go fishing. He was in a position to know, and he told me we would go fishing. If the next phase of existence has a fishing hole, it has a kitchen, a dance hall, and a bowling alley. It would absolutely have a golf course. You can cast away your fear of death, and what comes after. Please believe there is plenty of living after dying. We are eternal souls, and we must stay busy. We shall enjoy life after life after death. We shall share our thoughts and concerns in a community of others wanting to share, and laugh and cry. It is not the same as this life of flesh, but it is the way of our souls.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your brother but am happy that you both got a last chance to say sorry to each other and connect the way you did.
You are lucky to have experienced that moment with him.

I sometimes have dreams about my Father that has passed away and it can often feel like he's really sending me a message of sorts.

Certainly not worth the risk to find out. quit being a wimp and deal with the doom.

Then we come to the question of just plain putting yourself out of your own misery. I speak of actual physical pain and suffering. I speak of terminal conditions. This is pain that will never stop. Pain only dulled by drugs, leaving one in that state of fear between living and dying. When that point has come in your life, it is an alternative that does come to mind. Why not end it all and just move on?
Every part of our being that has been evolving over the eons cries out that ending your life is not acceptable in any conditions. It is, however, a sword with several blades. Each blade cuts in a different direction, but each comes to the same conclusion.

On the one hand you are forced to lie on your deathbed for days, weeks, months, even years, under the sentence of death. You know the pain and senseless loss of personal dignity that is to follow. It is not a case of having a fix or cure at your fingertips. It is inevitable that you will suffer and die…and you know it. But you are somehow obligated to endure this drawn out torture for “the good of your soul?” Because some preacher or doctor who goes home to his happy family said so? Because the law forces you do die with indignity and pain? It is the same law that allows vicious and torturous murderers to die quietly and quickly under general anesthesia? What is wrong with this picture?

On the other hand, the same poetry that demands that you do not go gently into that great good night also puts in rote “No greater love has any man in that he lay down his life for his fellow man? If it is so noble to die for a good cause why is it so wrong to die for a good reason? Why do we force our soldiers into battle to die, and force our suffering terminally ill patients to live?

If you have your arms shot off or lose your legs to a roadside bomb, get new ones, get therapy, get on with your life, however it plays out. If you lose your sight, retrain yourself and get back in the saddle. If you’re addicted to drugs, ask for help and take the help to the end.

Get yourself out of the mess you got yourself into. If you are overweight, you got there, get yourself out. There are countless programs, surgeries, drugs, treatments, and thousands of diets out there. The only real thing you need is the drive and determination to do whatever it takes to get the weight off. Get off the couch get out of the kitchen and take back your life.
If you have a terminal disease that is going to bring you to an inevitable painful deathbed you too have decisions to make. You cannot leave it to loved ones to help you. You would be ruining their lives. You would be destroying their peace of mind and peace with their God. It is not their life, it is your life. It is your decision.

Plan your death as well as you planned your life. Move to a state where you are granted the right to make the final choice. Women have been given the right to kill their unborn children, by federal law! Right or wrong we actually passed a law giving women this right. You should have the right to end your terminal, pain filled life with as little discomfort as the cold-blooded killers on death row.

As for the consequences; the preachers, priests and clerics will tell you it is a crime, it is against God’s Will. They quote the passages they choose to convince you of the sin in your choice. Thou shall not kill…except in war, in battle, in defense of your home in defense of your family, to save a friend, to save your own life etc. They say you shall go to hell, damned forever in the lake of fire.

Says who? Self-serving men of God don’t make a lot of money on the dead. Man created with his own hand and imagination the punishments in the Bible. All books of rules and laws and regulations and threats of punishment or reward are just the fabrications of men. Some of these books are very old. Some are revered by millions of followers. But their popularity, their age, their fancy and scary phraseology and gold-edged pages do not make them right.

No such thing as hell. It's a mechanism used to put fear in people so they give the church their money. It's a control mechanism people!

We get many lives to learn lessons. That's what your life is for here on Earth. That's what in innate in every sould that lives. It is our natural inclination.
