Totally sucks. Ton of bricks on a Friday, had to wait till Monday for antibiotics.

Horrible...could barely drive to the pharmacy.

cleared up in a total of 4 days.

I've only had the Flu once in my life and that was after I received the Flu vaccine when I first entered the Military

I was incredibly sick and since that day have vowed to never take another one again.

Not yet. I haven't been sick in over 16 years.

I am sick as hell. Flu/cold/resp infection or whatever it is and conjunctivitis as well.

I have a cough that has been constant for the last 18+ hours, everything hurts, I can't get any relief.

The cough is killing me.

After 3 days switch over to Vit. D3, 150,000 IU daily for 7 days.

After 7 days, back down to 10,000 IU daily until summer when you can spend time outside in the sun.

I've been taking 10,000 IU daily for 4 1/2 years & I never get sick.

I am 69 years old and I never get sick. Have never had the flu (won't ever get the vaccination)....maybe a cold 15 years ago that lasted 2 days. What am I doing right? I'm serious!

No. I have not been sick since 1996. I attribute this to Colloidal Silver, Vitamin C and baking soda.

I do not get flu shots, ever.
Had a tetnus shot, had reaction. Wont have another.

Everywhere I look or go, people seem to have it! It's all over my neighborhood, my kids friends are bringing it over here when they come to play, people are hacking away and sneezing at the stores. I've also noticed several people with sores around their mouths- I'm not one to be too paranoid about things like this, but I have to say I'm a little freaked out by it. I take 2000 mg. of lypo-spheric vitamin C and 50 mg. of Iodine each day, plus I don't get the flu vaccine and my kids don't go to public school-aka, the petri dish. I'd be very happy if we're able to avoid it this year (and every year for that matter).
OP, I'm sending healthy vibes your way- sucks to be sick and I hope you feel better soon. In the past when I would get sick, chicken flavored Ramen noodles with tons of cayenne pepper sprinkled on them (drink the liquid also) has always helped me recover.

If you get a chronic cough with no fever......it might be from particulates in the air.......like aluminum dust from the planes.

For this, I find Spirulina and Chlorella helpful.


I also like Vitamin D3 during the non-summer months to strengthen and regulate the immune system.

OMG i *just* got that flu yesterday......the 6th of december....awful when it hit full force! by the next morning was MUCH better, but a worse, more congested cough.

still have the cough, but am recovering fine, just tired.


i'm sure not everyone will fair as well, its rough. i don't even get sick, usually! my daughter got it worse, for longer....she's not a healthy eater. :( we try. LOL

my son is a good eater, he's still fine.
my ex lives with us. he felt it a bit, but's fine now.
i'm having some more health issues in general right now, so I'm not surprised I'm feeling it a bit, lol.

i didnt get one this year but it's my understanding in this area the vaccination isnt protecting against it anyway

Same here. Quit all vaccines in 2005, and never been sick since. "flus and colds" are vaccine detoxification events, not infectious events.

Currently HAVE. Can't wait until it becomes "had."

Easiest flu I've ever had to deal with. Lots of vitamin C and lots of rest, so I never had to crash from it like everyone else I know did. More of an inconvenience and an excuse to not work outside in the cold for a couple of days.

Of course, the people that crashed are also the same people that always take the flu shot. Take what you want of that.

If we all just tried to eat a little better - cut back on the 'goodies'....as sugar lowers your immunity to disease - we'd all be better off.

and how about trying to go to bed at a reasonable hour and getting the sleep your body needs to it can function at its best????????????

and don't forget about washing your hands throughout the day..

but no, these things are just too simple and easy.
