This is the most worrisome SHTF issue for me too.
We saw how the authorities dealt with Chernobyl and Fukushima ("I know! Let's pour water on the failed reactors from helicopters and then sweep it all under the rug" they said).
Would be a chain reaction in a SHTF scenario. The earth would never recover.
Step one: get more people talking and thinking about, and taking action against, these issues. Thanks for posting.
