All eye-witnesses on that site the OP provided a link to say it's the biggest and brightest meteor they've ever seen. Coincidence that this is happening just before the Mayan end date?

Most people are paying attention to the sky for the first time ever in the last few months. Problem being, for most people, seeing ANY meteor would be the biggest and brightest meteor they've ever seen.
