Re: I am a catholic apologist... ask me a question
There is no physical church. All that Jesus Christ said was spiritual not physical. Each individual who comes to God and accepts Jesus Christ as their savior has now become a church. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. You are the church. Not RCC (Roman Catholic Church)but JCC (Jesus Christ's Church). There is no other church except what Jesus Christ calls Sinagague of Satan.

People are the churches not a building or location. Each person who has the spirit of God is a church. The spirit of God does not dwell within walls but dwell within man. A person is the vessel of the Holy Spirit.

yes, but God also gave us a physical Church and the Sacraments. To deny the material world and only the spiritual is Manichaeism a very old Heresy.
 Quoting: Monkey Breath

Jesus ABOLISHED the earthly priesthood. The order of Melchizedek.

The bible teaches that Jesus is our heavenly Priest. The Roman church seeks to place ITSELF between man and God.

That is pure blasphemy, and denies the rightful place of the Son of God, and replaces Him with a "pope", and with thousands of other usurpers who call themselves "father".

Jesus said: "Call no man your father on the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. "

The word "antichrist" means (in biblical context) "in PLACE of Christ".

If you think what I speak is Heresy. Then I guess to you everything Jesus Christ spoke is a heresy. How can you believe in Jesus Christ but not pay attention to what he says. People of those days were religious and he broke religion that people may actually have a relationship with God not religion. Oops I believe that may be Heresy too.

Where is Scripture does it say anything about praying to saints or the virgin marry?

For all Ages call me Blessed. No other Church reveres The Virgin Mary as much as the Catholic Church. Who would Not Honor her. She birthed Our Savior. And she is Full of Grace

who do you think Mary is?

was 'Mary' her name or her title?

if you were to be shown she is someone other than who you have been told would you still 'follow' her?

why does the 'church', on the back of this 'Mary' adoration, subjugate women and the feminine aspect of deity and spirituality?

are you a catholic in the Roman sense or the 'universal Roman' sense?

The liturgy was the center of the Church without a doubt, and is a large part of what the Church refers to as Sacred Tradition.

So what was the center of Christian life? The Eucharist

Ignatius of Antioch, Epistle to the Smyrnaeans, Chapter 6, 110 A.D.:
Take note of those who hold heterodox opinions on the grace of Jesus Christ which has come to us, and see how contrary their opinions are to the mind of God ... They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, flesh which suffered for our sins and which that Father, in his goodness, raised up again. They who deny the gift of God are perishing in their disputes.

I actually refrain from the Eucharist but for once or twice a year. I wouldn't recommend this but I have alot of purging to do in my mind, body, and soul before I partake in the Holy Eucharist again. Some people would say I need the grace to fight the sins which is true, but I do it out of reverence for the Body of Christ.

Re: I am a catholic apologist... ask me a question
IMO it's better than the many who partake of the Eucharist frivolously without even examining their consciences, mindful of the sublime reality in which they are partaking.

27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. 31 But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment. 32 Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.

People have made the things of God a routine, a custom, a tradition. Becareful because the Lord said these people worship me with their mouth but there heart is far from me. That is the danger of religion and religious ideology. Follow the doctrine of Jesus Christ not the doctrine of RCC. You will realise the Doctrine of Jesus goes against the Doctrines of RCC.

God Bless Semper Fi, but a free agency of what to believe leads to doctrinal chaos as we now have in America. Its unbliblical and impractical. Our Blessed Lord prayed that we may be one, so the world may believe in him. If the Church isn't our Church. Which one is it? The four marks of the Church are One Holy Catholic and Apostolic.

This is nonsense (no offense), it is Protestantism's way
to deny there is one Church because there is one faith,
Roman Catholicism. It's historical, Protestants broke away
from the faith.

Another that goes with, "there is no physical church", Christ's Church is an invisible body of believers.

Our Lord isn't invisible and neither is His Church for 2000
years. Jesus is the head and the faithful are the body of His one Church. Are we invisible? No.

The one requirement of accepting Jesus as your personal
Lord and Savior and you're saved wasn't professed for centuries, the Apostles never taught it.

And another new one, the Protestant meaning of "Born Again."
There is no "water" in their new definition. They don't
want to follow Christ in John 3, water is a part of
Baptism. If you read further in John 3, I think verse
22, Jesus and the Apostles went out and "baptized."

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29396264

Hebrews (KJV)

4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
7:27 Who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: why it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
8:5 Who serve to the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, said he, that you make all things according to the pattern showed to you in the mount.

9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place every year with blood of others;
9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world has he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Re: I am a catholic apologist... ask me a question
1 Timothy 3

1
* This saying is trustworthy:* whoever aspires to the office of bishop desires a noble task.a
2
Therefore, a bishop must be irreproachable, married only once, temperate, self-controlled, decent, hospitable, able to teach,
3
not a drunkard, not aggressive, but gentle, not contentious, not a lover of money.b
4
He must manage his own household well, keeping his children under control with perfect dignity;
5
for if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how can he take care of the church of God?
6
He should not be a recent convert, so that he may not become conceited and thus incur the devil’s punishment.*
7
He must also have a good reputation among outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, the devil’s trap.c

8
* Similarly, deacons must be dignified, not deceitful, not addicted to drink, not greedy for sordid gain,

I am writing you about these matters, although I hope to visit you soon.
15
But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.

The true congregation of churches is the congregation that moves with the authority and power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Any other are blind leading the blind. Those who are filled with living water will never thirst. In other words those who are filled with the Holy Spirit will have same experiences that happened on the day of pentecost. And will not thirst for anything else because the spirit of the living God is within them. Be Baptized by the Holy Spirit. Pray and ask to be filled by his spirit. John said I Baptize you in water but the one coming will Baptize you with Holy Spirit and fire. The truth is to be Baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. Receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

New Testament = The Son

After Death and Resurrection = The Helper, Holy Spirit, Spirit of Wisdom.

The monstrance is a pre-Catholic ritual adopted to biblical text or Gnosticism. It is not in fact biblical.

The practice is recorded in the old testament pagans and condemned.

Jer 7:18 "The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger."

Jer 44:19 "And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings to her, without our men?"

Question: Why does it have to be biblical? and where in the bible does it needs to be so? The doctrine of sola Scriptura isn't biblical, not found in ancient Israel or in Christianity until the 16th century.
