Jesus went out into the temple and taught (He was the son of God), even the religious needed teaching, because they had been teaching things wrong. He traveled and mingled. He performed miracle. He listened, He touched, He cried, He ate with the unlovely, He forgave sins, He worked on the sabath, He stood before arrogant fools and let their tongues flick lies on his head, but Jesus stood strong, took the punishment FOR ME and YOU, and went to the cross, bleeding suffering and dieing. He didnt stand around waiting...he went forth. THe disciples were instructed by the resurected Jesus to go forth and teach, spread the gospel. Touch the unbeliever, listen to them, share food with them, and if they will not listen, move on---much work to do in their now very short lives, because there was going to be great suffering and heartache for the new Christians and the word must be spread. How lucky we are to live in the time we live, where we can go forth in relative safety, not worrying about our heads rolling to share the gospel. To share with other like minded Christians. We can visit many churches over time and decide and discern who speaks truth (the bible) and who is progressive and leaning away from the truth (prophisized lukewarm churchs of the endtimes). You have time to share your love of God and give him glory, this is why you were born, to receive the word, give God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit glory, rub elbows with the like minded, find a church because we need the family of church people in our lives to encourage us. Spread the love, the light, be the salt of the earth. This is not tv, you are not going to receive a glowing magical light and the outside of you is going to suddenly 'change'. The change happens from within. It won't be a change you see, but a change that those who knew you before will see. They will see the change of your heart that only Jesus can change. They will see the change of your actions, because you will no longer do selfish childish things with your tongue and your life, but you will love others, give for others, spread joy and laughter, and know that you are loved and forgiven, what unbelievable happiness that will make in your every day life! Don't believe in magic. Believe in the works of a loving God who came to earth and died for you. He did the work, he did the hard work, he did it all, you do nothing but believe, have faith and go forth. |

And few months later, someone fully bought a BMW for me, fully paid. Also, was offered a full time job position, with a quadrupled income. My advice is start going to Church, but do this with no selfish motivations. For example, what gains I can get from this. I go, because I believe this is what God wants from all us. Also you may want to list our your problems. Others may be able to give help and advice. As a general rule of thumb, tackle your problems slowly and one at a time. So it's not so overwhelming. |

I suppose going to church might be a step in the right direction. Maybe a public display, a baptism, a confession before a congregation of believers? Dear brother: No magical wording, sinners prayer, easy believism or church is going to save your soul. Salvation is of the LORD alone, regardless of the will of man. It is God who quickens the spirit. The preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those of us that have eternal life, it is our most sincere hope. You cannot understand the things of God, nor will you desire them, in your natural "unsaved" state. The very fact that you are crying out to God and seeking His salvation is evidence that you have already been born again. Just as a baby knows nothing and must survive on the absolute care of its mother, so you, being born again, understand very little about God, life, and what it means to be a Christian. Read a KJV of the Bible and ask for the Spirit to guide you in rightly dividing the Word of Truth (discernment). Here is a good sermon for you to listen to, and a great website that I pray will help you in your walk: Scroll down to 6/22/08 called "Am I God's elect?" " Quoting: Generation Doom True repentance means turning your back on sin. It's not something that will happen completely overnight either, especially if you deal with addictions, which can take years to overcome. It's the effort and enduring mindset that counts. You have to fight each day, dedicate time in prayer asking God whatever it is you need. If right now you need to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit, if you need to feel God's love or anything, start praying for this every day. My conversion experience came from wanting to feel a love for God. I was raised Catholic so I always held a belief in God, but during my teenage years I became lukewarm and it wasn't until my early 20s that I wanted to change. I felt there must be more to this so I started praying the rosary every day since I heard it was a powerful prayer tool. I started praying it each day with the intention to feel a love for God and to feel a powerful presence of God in my life. After 2 weeks of praying this every day, one night after praying I was overcome with this peace and happiness, which then lead to a powerful love for God, which brought me to the point of sobbing tears. I felt strong remorse for my sins during this time, but I felt such a strong longing to be with God at that moment that I would've gladly died and left everything behind if given the choice. It was the very definition of divine intervention. From that moment on my life was changed, I was changed from the inside. It doesn't happen this way for everyone, but I want you to know God does respond to prayer, we just have to really make a sincere effort. YES, SINCERITY is the key. When a person truly repents, then he/she receives the love of the truth so as to be saved. Then they have a thirst for the Living Water and want to learn as much about Jesus and about His instructions and as much about the entire history of mankind that God has given us (it's there in the Bible) as they can. If a person who "repents" has no change in his heart and life, then the repentance probably is not genuine. On the human level, envision a guy who professes his love for his beloved. Then he leaves, doesn't think about her FOR TWO WEEKS... Then he says, oh, my I told her I love her and I haven't given her a thought in two weeks. Was his love genuine?????? If he does not do everything he can to please her, does that indicate any love for her? If he does not want to live for her and make her happy, does he love her? When you love someone, you give all you have to give to demonstrate that love. If you just want to take all the advantages of getting love from another individual, then it isn't love. Jesus wants your heart; He isn't interested in empty words. If a man professes love for a woman, then just forgets about her, then it was only lip service, not a committment. Christians in-name-only are worse than infidels--they give sincere Christians a bad name. The Bible says that we true Christians have "received the love of the truth so as to be saved." Do you love His truths? Do you love His Word? Do you trust Him in everything you do? If you never think about Jesus and if you have not surrendered control of your life to Him, then you do not love Him. |

You don't need church to have a healthy relationship with God. There is one thing you must remember if you're feeling like nothing has happened or you haven't been heard. God doesn't give anyone anything. He gives us the opportunities to attain it for ourselves. It is purely up to us to recognize those opportunities and take them. The lies one must tell himself to not feel completely and utterly retarded for talking to himself.
